Splendid Country House In Mountains of Sicily

We absolutely loved this property - our favorite in Sicily! The house was super comfortable for us - a family with two adult children. Large kitchen, wonderful family room with games and large bedrooms for everyone. The multiple outdoor seating areas and views were fantastic. We took advantage of the grill and the pool. We just loved the feel of the property and home - a tastefully renovated rustic farmhouse. It has lots of character and is very private. We also enjoyed visiting the nearby town of Castelbuono. The owners were very friendly and helpful and provided some great suggestions for dinner and hikes in the area. Couldn't have asked for a better property or host. Thanks Alberto!

Idyllic Renovated Hillside Villa with Stunning Privacy and Views

An authentic and handsome 1920s remodeled stone country house, with all amenities and swimming pool on a remote hillside. Surrounded by the verdant and mountainous slopes and valleys just outside the charming hilltop town of Castlebuono, this property provides unparalleled views, serenity and privacy. The road in is narrow and curvy but manageable in any standard car and the location is close to town but guarantees you will not be disturbed. The house itself is historic and rugged and beautifully designed with multiple outdoor gathering and dining areas. The weather during our stay did not allow a swim in the pool, but we hung out on the deck there and enjoyed the spectacular Sicilian countryside. At some elevation, our only regret was that the fireplace in the living room was not available to use during the cool nights. For those looking for something comfortable, unique, and a little off the beaten path, a rare and compelling stay, arranged by Alberto, the gracious and very helpful owner.

A fabulous property!

The house is fantastic and has everything that you could need. The house is very remote and a car is essential. We found the remoteness absolutely fabulous - to be surrounded by nature and the peacefulness was truly therapeutic. A warm welcome from Alberto who was on hand if there was any query. Difficult coming back to reality following such a wonderfully relaxing holiday!

Un paradiso a 5 stelle!

Questa casa, dotata di ogni confort (e non tanto per dire) è una vera e propria oasi di serenità nel bel mezzo del Parco delle Madonie. In 10 minuti si raggiunge il vicino paese di Castelbuono mentre in 40 minuti circa si raggiunge a Cefalù. Camere da letto comodissime (ognuna con il suo bagno), spazi comuni grandi ed accoglienti. Infine un plauso ad Alberto e sua moglie, proprietari della casa, persone splendide e disponibili

Prachtige woning in de bergen.

Heerlijk huis met hele mooie tuin/zwembad. Rust en toch op 10 min van leuk dorpje. Het wakker worden en herten in de tuin zien lopen is onbeschrijfelijk!

les derniers 400 mètres de piste sont réellement très pénibles si l'on ne possède pas un véhicule 4x4. On se sent seul au monde et cela risque d'être gênant en cas de problème.

Mi dispiace che scrivete il falso solo per il gusto di calunniare. La strada che voi descrivete come impossibile è la stessa che hanno percorso tutti i nostri ospiti che ci hanno dato il punteggio massimo. Sarebbe stato più onesto da parte vostra dire la verità: Vi siete presentati a mezzanotte e al posto di ringraziare ci avete contestato le regole della casa che avevate accettato quando avete prenotato casa nostra. Siete veramente una persona scorretta, e mi auguro che nessuno vi affitti la propria abitazione.

Endroit idyllique pour les amoureux de la nature

Ancienne bergerie très bien restaurée, de très bon goût pour la décoration. Nous avons pu apprécier les différents coins repas et salons en fonction du soleil. L’endroit est idéal pour oublier tout le stress de la civilisation, un peu au milieu de nulle part.

Fuori dal mondo

La vacanza che cercavamo.. Immersi nella natura a quaranta minuti da Cefalù. L'unica difficoltà incontrata sono state le pessime condizioni delle strade (buche, dossi, curve, salite e discese, tratti sterrati, vegetazione che invade la carreggiata.. non il percorso ideale di chi viaggia con mamme e bambini che soffrono il mal d'auto..).. D'altro canto però rilegano il traffico ad una certa distanza.. e si può godere a pieno dello scampanellio di qualche gregge in lontananza o del canto delle cicale.. La casa ha tutti i confort di una moderna abitazione con un portico, una piscina e spazi di relazione da far invidia .. I sanitari e box doccia meriterebbero un aggiornamento.. Alberto e Patrizia veri "padroni di casa" sempre gentili e disponibili Vs i loro ospiti con indicazioni e consigli oltre la normale educazione utili per il godimento a pieno delle bellezze e dei servizi nei dintorni.

Un joli paradis

Si vous êtes amoureux de la nature, cet endroit est idéal. Cette jolie maison est situé dans le parc des Madonies et si vous avez de la chance vous pourrez croiser des cerfs, des renards, des lapins ..... la maison est parfaitement équipée, et très vite on se sent comme chez soit. La vue y est magnifique ce qui rend les couchés de soleil assez inoubliables. A proximité, Castelbuono est un charmant village typique, plutôt animé le soir. C’est très agréable d’aller y dîner ou même de flâner dans la vieille ville. Nous recommandons cet endroit magique, qui nous a permis de passer d’excellentes vacances en famille, merci à Alberto et sa famille pour leur accueil.

Secret Paradise

n the middle of the beautiful nature around Castelbuono we stayed in an extremely attractively decorated house. This house has character and a soul. The quiet place, surrounded by silence and nature, makes it a place where you can retreat completely. A secret paradise. And if you like cooking, you can fully enjoy yourself here! All necessary kitchen appliances are available to cook a delicious Italian meal yourself. Thank you dear Patricia and Alberto for sharing this beautiful place with us.

Summer holiday july 2019

Sicilian farmhouse with a magnificent view! The welcome by Alberto, the owner, was warm. He gave some good tips about nice villages,restaurants and beaches to visit and was easy to contact by app. The most we enjoyed the house and surroundings. We spend lot’s off time on the “lounge terrace” in front of the house. Beautiful !! Hope to come back once to this wonderfull place.

Entspannung Pur inmitten von Natur!

Bei dem Urlaubsdomizil handelt es sich um ein wundervolles Haus ( Art Landhaus Stil ) in Mitten der Berge von Castelbuono. Ich kann nur sagen entspannung pur. Herrliche Aussicht und um einen herum nichts als Natur. Der nächste Ort Castelbuono ist kein Touristenort, so dass man das Flair Siziliens so richtig erfahren und genießen kann. Die Fahrt zum Haus ist etwas abenteuerlich, jedoch wird man dafür auch entsprechend mit einer ganz besonderen Lage belohnt. Der Vermieter Alberto ist liebenswert und kümmert sich persönlich extrem zeitnah um die Anliegen der Mieter. Ganz toll! So habe ich beispielsweise meine Kamera im Haus vergessen. Alberto hat mich direkt kontaktiert, mich nach meiner Adresse gefragt und mir die Kamera nach Deutschland geschickt. TOP!!! Einzigster Wermutstropfen ist, dass nicht das gesamte Haus klimatisiert ist, sondern lediglich ein Schlaufraum, welcher sich außerhalb des Hauses befindet. Dies geht aus der Beschreibung des Hauses nicht hervor. Fazit: Ganz Toller Urlaub, mega Haus, entspannung Pur. Tolle Umgebung, tolle Vermieter. Empfehlenswert!!!

Tranquilidad y naturaleza

Lugar idílico para aquellas personas que les guste la montaña ...mucha tranquilidad y paz. La casa, maravillosa, sobre todo su porche. Todo se corresponde con la descripción ...la piscina, un poquitín pequeña. Los anfitriones, Alberto y Patrizia un auténtico encantoson. La carretera para llegar a la casa te causa impresión, en un primer momento, por su estrechez y las cuestas tremendamente empinadas...aún así enseguida te acostumbras...para nosotros fue un placer haber estado allí

Lovely location and outdoor area

We spent Easter here and the house and surrounds were just as they looked in the photos. However there was a problem with quite persistent mice in the house which made sleeping quite difficult. I am sure that the problem will be resolved, apart from that our stay was enjoyable.
