Untrue and baseless post! Rental was (supposed to start) beginning August 2024! Review? May 2025! Facts: the reviewer came to the apartment (with another adult and two kids) with no luggage or anything, after supposedly a very long trip by car… The only minor issue found during a “storm” inspection was some oil and other cooking stuff the cleaning lady (new, one time, as an exception) left in a cupboard in the kitchen! The person/renter had a fit, big time! She did not want to hear anything more! I WAS reachable, talked to her, tried to calm her down, had WhatsApp video on with the cleaning lady, I offered to have fix everything on the spot@! Just to tell us what! NADA! Being such an unusual situation, a bit later that day I had WhatsApp video from the apartment with the concierge of the complex, experienced and on site for over 10 years! Everything was fine, with that small exception (acceptable to most people, by the way…)) Honestly, an incredible reaction, huge fuss, still to this date I can’t understand why! Or…. After many hours in a car, to come and leave just like that, on top of it with 2 kids, with no plan B? or there was another plan A, cheaper? Thereafter, I was providing proofs and was consulting with the rental supervisors of the rental sites in GB and Germany. Both instances did not have any proof of the defaults claimed, confirmed that she did not follow the proper procedure in such circumstances, the claim did not comply with the rules agreed upon when booking and as a result not eligible for refund. I was offering, as a goodwill, to the reviewer and family, to have a future similar period for free– which was bluntly refused! Now some additional facts, for anybody to judge, based on logic and common sense: Claim: “The apartment, pool, and grounds are very run-down” Fact: the entire complex – considered “haut de gamme” – was built in 2010, by very strict, up to date, French standards! They ARE strict! The entire complex is permanently and properly maintained with any issues fixed in a timely manner! More than half of the owners reside in the complex all year long, so this is not a “ come and go “ place! This is why, especially families, love it – and the pool, we were told, is one of the biggest and nicest in the area! Fact # n : we, the owners, stayed in the apartment for about three weeks, a couple of weeks before, we enjoyed it and loved it! And we have pretty high standards! The appartement ACTUALLY IS as described! And many people, quite a few of them repeat guests, enjoyed it! To conclude: that's the reality, the way some people, with - or unfortunately without- reason, behave and make sure they can take revenge, influence others, because there are no consequences for them! I trust most people can see the truth between the lines and discern! Thank you for taking the time to read this!
