Pacific Overlook: Private, Spacious Home With Panoramic Ocean View

Located at land’s end, in a very private area just 2 miles south of the town of Trinidad sits the Pacific Overlook vacation home. Tucked beneath a forest of coastal pines and eucalyptus, this extremely generous and spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bath home sits at the edge of a coastal bluff overlooking Camel Rock and the Luffenholtz Beach area of Trinidad.

This one-owner home was built in the late 1990’s and features unique, hand-crafted furniture created by the talented local artists of Ironside Metalworks. It also includes bonuses such as vaulted ceilings, granite counters, a Viking gas range, large second-floor entertainment deck, massive panoramic views, and private spaces for both small and large families to enjoy.

Away from prying eyes, the Overlook is a perfect location to experience Redwood country and the North Coast lifestyle. The home blends unique decor, native wood furnishings, and a grand setting with contemporary finishes to complement the blue water views from every room.

The Overlook is owner-managed. We take great pride in ensuring the experience from reservation to check-out is efficient and informed. We live nearby so our guests have the piece-of-mind knowing we’re there when they need us, but your privacy is respected. That’s the Humboldt way.

Our nightly rate is scaled based on the number of guests so smaller groups feel welcome. The base rate displayed is set for up to 4 guests. There is a $25/night/person added to the base rate for guests 5-10 (children included).

Please inquire about the even lower than advertised rate for 2 guests. We will consider pets in the off-season.

A great place to stay in Trinidad! We’ve stayed at this property for the past 7 years and it’s always been great. Spacious, private, well stocked, clean and the host is always responsive and helpful. I think our favorite thing about the house besides the amazing view is the large dining table that always brings us together comfortably.

The house is in a beautiful location with access to wonderful beaches and proximity to Redwood National Forest, which has the most beautiful hikes I've ever experienced. The house was clean, spacious, and had fun details like corn hole, which we played in the back yard, and the pool table. Our family spent a lot of time on the deck just watching the ocean and birds hunting for insects.

The house is in a great location. From the spacious main living areas and two decks, all on the upper floor, there are unobstructed views of the ocean. It was a pleasure to sit on the large main deck while listening to the ocean, watching for whales, or observing the night sky. The elevator eased the chore of moving luggage, coolers, and groceries to the main floor and kitchen. The large lower floor common area has expansive windows facing the ocean and a large pool table. It is a scenic half-hour drive to Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Gabe, the host, was friendly and quick to respond to all messages and concerns. He was very helpful in making suggestions for purchasing local fish and produce. We hope to return one day.

This house has stunning views and is equipped with everything for our big family to cook together (the guys on the outdoor bbq on the big deck-overlooking the ocean) and the girls in the big kitchen that is stocked with everything. This beautiful home was perfect for our families visit. The kitchen was easy to cook in with plenty of pots and pans. Laundry was easy to use, as well as the entertainment system, lots of remotes but paperwork in the drawer to guide us through. We played pool and cornhole and watched the sunset from the large deck. The view was amazing!!! Gabe was easily communicated with through the app and by text.

Beautiful home with a great layout for 5 kids and 4 adults. The view is absolutely stunning. The hike to the beach is slippery and a bit precarious but fun. This was a great location to go hike in the Redwoods.
