About the host
Hosted by Sheila McDermott
We are a family of 4, living on a working farm in Sligo.
We have been happily involved in the Self Catering business since 2006.(see sheilasplaces.com). In 2012 we bought and renovated the property now called The Snug in Dunkineely, South Donegal, for our own use and also as a Holiday Let.
Each of our properties are in wonderful coastal locations directly on the Wild Atlantic Way.

Why they chose this property
We bought this property in November 2011 because we love the area and believe that Dunkineely is a wonderful scenic location with so many options on the doorstep.
One particular treat for us is being able to walk to a choice of 3 decent pubs, some with regular entertainment. There is a great atmosphere in the pubs in the village and everybody is just so friendly. As one of our guests reported, "they get to know you first!"

What makes this property unique
The house is in a super location, it feels quiet and secluded yet is just tucked in snugly off the main street.
We have done a big renovation on the house, with two completely separate units ( upstairs or downstairs), each equally comfortable.
We have a little Yorkshire Terrier and he loves our outings to The Snug because we can close the gate and let him roam freely in the garden.
