Milias House is located in the seaside village of Pedi in the homonymous bay, 3,5 km from Yalos, Symi's harbor.
It is an old, neoclassical house (built in the late 19th century) fully restored, with its traditional elements mixed with modern features and amenities.
The house has thick stone walls, high ceilings and is really cool. Although it provides air-conditioning, usually the ceiling fans suffice for a pleasant stay. It is 140 years old, but all electrical devices (lights, switches, sockets, etc.) were replaced in 2016.
So today Milias House can accomodate 8 people in both floors, or 4 in each floor separetely. If you are four people or less, there is always the possibility to rend one of the two floors.
There is free WiFi, beach parasols, beach towels, and baby cots. So therefore during your staying in MILIAS HOUSE you do not need to carry a lot of luggage and extra weight. The residence provides you with all the necessary.
The price for the upper floor, which is accessed by a 20-foot stone staircase, and sleeps -maximum- up to 6 people (one bathroom) is 130 euros per night for April, May, June, September and October and 170 euros per night for July and August.
The price for the whole house (both floors) which sleeps 8 people, is 210 euros per night for April, May, June, September and October and 300 euros per night for July and August.
Milias House is ideal for families with children and has easy access to the beach and the sea.
The big advantage of the house is that it is right on the sea, in front of, literally on the beach.
Α stone staircase leads to the upper floor which is 70 sqm.The upper floor has two bedrooms with double beds. The main bedroom's double bed is 1.50 X 2.00 metres and the other bedroom's bed is 1.20 X 2.00 metres.
In the spacious bathroom of the upper floor there is a washing machine.
There is a spacious kitchen with all the equipment needed for preparing all kind of meals as well as a microwave oven.
In the big "sala", the living room, there is a dining table and two sofas which can easily be converted to single beds.
In the spacious balcony with the fantastic view to Pedi bay there is a big marble table for dinners under the stars and two deck chairs.
Local buses, connecting Pedi with Horio and the Symi harbor, pass every 30min from the bus stop situated just 70 m from the house. Covered on foot, the approximately 2 km-long route passes through the picturesque Horio and the famous Skala Kali.
There is a beach right in front of the house, as well as easy access (by boat or on foot )to two of the isle’s most beautiful beaches: (a) Aghios Nikolaos, at 1.5km from the house and accessible through a well-marked path, and (b) Agia Marina, approximately 2 km from the house and also reachable through a well-marked path. Boats to both of these popular swimming spots depart from a pier, just 70m away from the house.
Also at some 70 meters, there is a picturesque waterside taverna with good food and very reasonable prices. The place is so close to the house, that, if you happen to have children, you can easily monitor them through intercom, whilst they sleep back at the house.
No bars or restaurants with loud music are to be found in Pedi. Quietness is a given -and most enjoyable-especially at night.
