Your own little corner of the world, on secluded Turtle Beach, with breathtaking bay, ocean, sandy beach, and surrounding mountains views! Escape the maddening crowds of Waikiki in a highly upgraded 13th floor condo!

Enjoy sunsets, oceanfront dining, stars, hiking, snorkeling, morning or moonlit walks on the beach, try paddle/boogie/surfboarding. Spacious & comfortable lanai offers prime view of amazing sunsets, moonsets, breaching whales, turtles, spinner dolphins and nights full of stars!

Our condo does not operate as transient quarters. As per Honolulu laws, we may only book one rental per 30 day period. Our calendar may not always be up to date and we recommend you contact us with your inquiries for better service and choice of dates.

Tastefully renovated and designed for comfort! Enjoy top of the line refrigerator, cooktop, convection oven/microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer.

Equipped with beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, umbrella, snorkel equip, boogie boards, canopy, beach tent, beach cart and free unassigned gated parking.

GUEST ACCESS
A gated secured property offers a pool, Jacuzzi, rec room with ping pong, gas grills in grassy picnic area, outdoor showers and more. General Manager available during the day with 24-hour on-site security.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS:
Upon booking I will provide you with check-in instructions and information on the many attractions and sites in the area and throughout Oahu.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
On your way you may stop in Kapolei for groceries, or right in Makaha at Tamura's, (100 year old market chain) just before the Princess, is where "locals" go for their food shopping. You'll find great locally prepared foods for take out, groceries and a good selection of wines, beers and spirits. The local population is very friendly and exude the true "Aloha Spirit" the islands are known for and sometimes missing in overcrowded Waikiki area. There are the usual commuter traffic issues as the local population heads to Honolulu for work and return home to Makaha at night, so plan your day trips accordingly.

Beautiful location

The condo is updated and has everything you could need to a beach vacation. The bad was very comfortable. The views are amazing. The beach was not crowded and was wonderful. Exactly what my wife and I wanted for our Honeymoon.

Fall holiday

Beautiful place. This condo has everything you would ever need, beach toys, highchair, playpen, snorkeling. Towels and many chairs. The view was outstanding. Grocery store 5 min drive. Tess is very easy to get a hold off and prompt with answers. Beach waves were high the first week but swimmable the second. We travelled all over the island with our rental car. Don’t hesitate to book this place if you can. Thank you

Stunning views! Away from crowds! Place we stayed had everything we needed!

The condo we stayed in was nothing short of spectacular! Comfortable. Breathtaking views! Stocked with anything we could need for our stay. Surfboards, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrellas, hats, tennis rackets, a large awning, beach towels and beach mats. The beach and bay we stayed at had all the entertainment we could want and most importantly, away from the crowds that seem to be on the rest of the island. To top it off, every night had a gorgeous Hawaiian sunset over the ocean! We'd definitely recommend it to friends and we'd stay here again if visiting Oahu in the future! Absolutely loved it! Memories for a lifetime! Thank you!

Well maintained, ample parking, secure.

Wonderful view of the ocean, mountains and beach from 5th story patio deck containing comfortable outdoor furniture. Also have view overlooking the outdoor pool which is also on the beach. Elevator as well as stair access, security personnel onsite to ensure safety and tranquility. Close to businesses, stores and restaurants, as well as Oahu's famous West Shore. Faboulous for hiking along the West to North coast. Sunsets are sensational. The condo itself is roomy, comfortable with all the amenities for eating, sleeping, TV entertainment, ping pong, Tennis and beach fun such as snorkling and surfing. The resort also includes a public BBQ area that is usually never crowded at night. Near to Makaha Beach, a famous surf spot.

Perfect Stay

This is the perfect location is you are looking for paradise. The condo is beautiful as pictured, the beach is just outside the door, the pool and whirlpool are immaculate. If you are planning lots of sightseeing and activities or looking for great nightlife this probably isn't the place for you as traffic can be a hassle and it can take a couple hours to get to the North shore or Windward side of the island. But Pearl Harbour is only 45 minutes away. There is a lovely grocery store close to the condo and lots of fast food restaurants. We felt very secure and never felt uncomfortable. Tess provided us with lots of great material and instructions before we left. This place is heaven on earth.

Thank you for taking the time to review my Hawaiian Princess condo! Yes there is commuter traffic in and around Makaha (this is where many of the Hawaiian workers in the trades, shows and hotels live) and so it is recommended when attending activities elsewhere on Oahu, it's best leaving the condo after 8 am and returning back to the condo before 4 pm or after 7 pm. The commuters are usually back and forth to work between 6 am and returning home to Makaha on the highway around 3 to 5 pm. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to hosting you again in the future!

Beautiful place in a beautiful location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The condo was fully stocked on any kind of beach toy, chair, tent, etc. that you could imagine. There was even a cart with sand wheels which made getting stuff to and from the beach a breeze. The condo was beautifully decorated and very clean. It was also stocked with full sets of dishes, pots, pans and even casarole dishes! Tess thought of every detail! My only disappointment was that the porch swing in the pictures when we initially rented the place wasn't actually there when we arrived. We had been looking forward to watching the ocean from the porch swing. Still, we loved the place and found it perfect for our getaway.

Everything you need....including everything you didn't even think you needed!

The corner unit here really is the one to pick. The wrap-around lanai made a huge difference in managing the sandy boogie boards, wet shoes, etc. It also makes the view one unbroken panorama. It's easy to imagine you are the only people around when sitting out to watch the sunrise or sunset. The location is off the tourist track so be prepared to stock up on groceries and hang out and do NOTHING but sit on the beach and your lanai and soak up the sun and salty air. The condo is incredibly well-stocked and included everything we could possibly need. My kids loved it too and are hoping we can return soon. Mahalo and Merry Christmas!

The vacation home and location I always dreamed of!

The view of the ocean from the condo is jaw dropping! With nearly the entire west wall being floor to ceiling glass, there is no shortage of view! With the Arcadia doors open, the sound of the crashing waves is nothing short of amazing!! The wrap around lanai is simply icing on the cake! The beautiful condo has every imaginable item needed to make your stay phenomenal. Besides being stocked with standard kitchen and standard home items, there are beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. There's snorkeling equipment to surf boards, or tennis racquets and ping pong paddles, to coolers, hats and water jugs to take to the beach - simply amazing! The condo has a beautiful pool and hot tub to enjoy as well, if having the ocean at a few steps away isn't enough. No words can really begin to express the overall beauty and relaxing feeling of this condo, you'd have to experience it first hand!

Paradise on the west coast

What a beautiful place to spend our second honeymoon! Tess, thank you for graciously opening up your lovely home to us. We couldn’t find a more perfect place to stay on the west side. It was comfortable, tastefully decorated, and stocked with everything a person could need on a vacation - and more! From the breathtaking view of the ocean, to the hypnotic sound of the waves gently lapping on the shore right below the window, every moment is enjoyable and relaxing. The entire condo was recently redecorated. Everything is new, cheerful and spotless. I felt so relaxed and safe here, it will be hard to leave. Thank you Tess and Ashlee, for a wonderful, relaxing few days. I wish it had been longer. But we cherished every moment and have already sent the listing on to several friends and family members. Beachfront property but in a remote area

The location of the condo is in a rather financially depressed area. If you want to go to any activities, you need a significant drive. The condo itself was beachfront, amazing views and absolutely relaxing. The kids loved the beach but there's not much else to do. Condo amenities had everything you should need. I did find it ridiculous that the owner wants you to wash the bed linens and towels before you leave. I'm sorry but what is the cleaning fee for? Tess is okay. Quick to take your money but not communicative otherwise. Slow to return you deposit too. At most places I've stayed, the owner reaches out to see if I settled in. She is not hospitable at all. Would not recommend overall.

Aloha! Yes Judy, the Makaha area is not Waikiki ....where the ultra-rich reside and people from all over the world vacation. Makaha is an area where many now displaced local Hawaiians live, and one of the oldest communities in Hawaii, where generations of people with Hawaiian ancestry have raised their families, since the days of petroglyphs. People stay in Makaha for its natural unspoiled beauty and because it is not touristy like Waikiki or other destination resorts. Yes, I do recommend in all of my advance information that you will need a vehicle, and exactly how many miles/minutes to each activity, if people like adventures. Some guests just want to see the local surroundings where there is so much to do with hiking, caves, sea life, natural wonders, horseback riding, or just sitting on the beach or swimming in the pool. If kids get bored, there's always the water park up the street, along with malls, theaters, restaurants, and the Ko'olina 5 star resorts; where the public is welcome! The sheet/towel washing is a common policy at the resort due to the high number of beach towels and sometimes sheets, used during a stay. Many guests leave a load drying and dishwasher running as they exit the condo for home. The cleaning fee is quite modest for the amount of work the cleaners do on this large condo. They are thorough, hardworking and leave the place pristine. I am very responsive to answering my guest's requests, questions and more, however, I have not found it necessary to phone, knock on the door, or email a new guest, and always try to respect their privacy while they are vacationing. My vacation rental strictly adheres to the payment and return of deposit policies of VRBO. I am neither quick to take a guest's money, nor slow to return their deposits. These terms were all made available to you on the VRBO website prior to your booking. I apologize if you expected a different experience. Mahalo, Tess

Stunning views and a fabulous time

We loved staying at Tess's beautiful condominium for our Hawaiian get-away this year. The views and beach are spectacular, and her corner unit with the large wrap-around lanai was spacious and well equipped for all of our needs. She has just about every water sport covered, and provided surfboards, masks, snorkels, fins, even body boards! We found the neighboring community to be friendly and enjoyed not having to spend a small fortune at the local restaurants just minutes away from the Condo/Resort. The kitchen is very functional, and appointed with everything we needed to cook meals for our small family. We even took advantage of the gas grills on the Resort premises for a family BBQ at sunset! Tess was very responsive and was available by text or phone to answer questions about attractions and activities in the area. Her helpful recommendations steered us to see some very beautiful sights just along the coastline near the Condo. The condo unit was is very well cared for, sparkling clean when we arrived and super comfortable. I really miss the views and convenience of having a very pristine and largely unpopulated beach right at our doorstep. We'll be back next year for sure! Thank you Tess!

Aloha Alameida Family and thanks for the lovely review! I'm glad you enjoyed all of the little mom & pop restaurants (Hawaiian, Japanese, Brazilian, Mexican, and more!) I hope you were able to have breakfast at Spinners at the Harbor down the way, as well as a few other breakfast places. My fave place to hang out is for seafood at the Crab Shack! My last guests with kids attended the Character Breakfast at the Disney Aulani (reservations required). There are also several man-made coves in the Ko'olina Resorts 5 star resorts with free parking and beach use. There are many choices of dining there should you wish more of a resort-like atmosphere for meals.... Perfect! Don't overpack or overthink it, just do it!

If you crave peace and natural beauty, this is it! But if you need entitlement and a manicured world around you for miles, maybe keep looking.We drove out of the busy city craziness to the real people, and then this slice of heaven! We walked into the condo and it glowed with the sunset all around. Absolutely sparkled! Very roomy and comfortable with everything you could need. Loved this particular unit with the wrap-around lanai. Check-in was a breeze with the very funny (and knowledgeable) Wendell. The condo, the beach, the view...all spectacular! Snorkeled with turtles, octopus, eel, barracuda (WOW), and many many other beauties. The local people are very kind and generous. We loved watching their antics and skill at the beach, and how they congregate to celebrate family and community together all up and down their beautiful beaches. After a long winter for us, this was soothing to our souls! Tess was great to communicate with and beyond generous! Can't thank you enough, and hope to come back. Our only regret was not staying here for much, MUCH LONGER. We will continue "to live in a state of thankfulness." Mahalo indeed, Tess!!!

Peace Beauty & Comfort

We enjoyed our stay at Tess's beautiful condo. She has everything you could need for your stay. I do mean everything. Get some groceries and you're set. Tess was great with communication and flexible. You could tell she really wants you to enjoy your stay and we did! Staff and security at the condo were very friendly and helpful. The view and sunsets are breathtaking! Water was amazing. I do want to prepare those who aren't familiar with this part of the island. We were prepared and informed to keep cars locked and valuables hidden. It is a small community and their are homeless people who you will see around the area. They keep to themselves, as was our experience. I didn't see them hanging on the beach or being a nuisance. The condo is gated and has security. We felt very safe. I would not let this affect my rating as this kind of stuff is everywhere, maybe just not as noticeable. So if you're looking for a BEAUTIFUL peaceful place, this is it. We also felt we were in a good location to access all areas of the island. Thank you Tess for sharing this amazing rental!

Wonderful apartment at the foot of a fabulous beach.

My wife, daughter and I spent 8 days in Tess' wonderful apartment, and had one of the greatest vacations any of us can remember. The apartment is about 40-45 minutes outside of Honolulu, so if you're one of those people who really wants to be at packed beaches, in the middle of the city, walking distance, etc, great, good for you, go to Waikiki. For those folks who like to make their own vacation experiences, this place is an absolute gem and I can't help but recommend it highly to anyone who's thinking of visiting Oahu. From the secluded beach (saw five turtles, one octopus and roughly a million fish while snorkeling) to the local restaurants, to the beautiful leeward coast drive, the joys of staying here were a highlight of the trip for my family. And the apartment is phenomenal - a wraparound balcony, wonderful kitchen setup, a closet so comprehensively stocked that we really could have just travelled with a toothbrush and a couple pairs of clothes. It's safe, clean and you could have a fantastic vacation if all you did was travel to the nearby beach and back. We found it served as a great staging point for our trips around the island as well, and had great fun going from place to place coming back to our beloved apartment. We received a lovely call from Tess making sure we were all taken care of, and I think that Wendell, one of the security staff, gave us one of the most entertaining/hilarious check-ins I have ever had staying away from home. We will fondly remember our time here at Tess' apartment, and my wife and I would both absolutely love to come back if the opportunity arises. My daughter loved it even more - she found out that there was a unit in the building for sale and she wanted to buy it. She's six.

A paradise!!Would highly recommend this place for those who enjoy beach like I do!! I’m from Miami but nothing can be compared to the beaches in Hawaii.We stayed at Tess’s place for 3 days and enjoyed every minute of our stay!The apartment is beautiful and equipped with everything you might need during your stay!The kitchen is a dream!!Loved the comfortable bed and pillows!And a view from the lanai is one in a million!!Would stay there drinking my morning coffee forever watching the waves... Thank you Tess for a piece of paradise!

Very nice condo on a great beach

We spent 8 great days (2 adults, 2 kids) at this very nice condo. The beach is untoppable and the sunsets from the lanai are absolutely stunning. The condo is equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely rent this condo again. Highly recommended! Thanks Tess for everything and many greetings from the Swiss family :-)

Amazing, Relaxing, Therapeutic!

My husband and I along with our 4 children stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The condo is beautiful and breezy. The large, iron gate secured, wrap around balcony adds so much additional room and makes coming and going super convenient. The beach area, grounds, pool, tennis courts, and game room are awesome. The condo also has all the amenities you could possibly need including surf/boogie boards, tennis rackets, ping pong paddles, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas... I can’t imagine ever staying anywhere else when vacationing on Oahu. Beautiful place and the sunsets are amazing!

Paradise

This corner condo is an absolute beautiful locale! The views were stunning and the balcony was the perfect place to enjoy the amazing Hawaiian sunsets. Any amenity needed was provided, the kitchen was fully stocked and all the necessary beach equipment was available. The owner was very responsive to any and all requests. This was the best vacation I have ever been on and I look forward to being a repeat customer.

AMAZING!!!

This place was gorgeous! The beach front view was spectacular. Our children loved it. The waves weren't too large and it was perfect for my wife and I to catch some sun while they played. There's a large pool and hot tub on the property with beach access. This was perfect for those days when you just want to take a dip without getting sandy. There are outdoor showers there to clean off the sand if you do want to go back and forth to the beach. I also liked the fact that the property, including the parking lot, was completely gated and there was security there 24/7. The condo was perfect for us! I can't express how beautiful the view was looking directly over the ocean. There's a large deck where we watched the sunset every night with a glass of wine. Very romantic. The kitchen and living room area was spacious as well. At one point, we had about 14 people over for a dinner party and everyone was quite comfortable. The master bedroom was also spacious and comfortable. I will definitely use this condo again and again whenever we revisit Hawaii.

"Destination for Relaxation"

Makaha beach is such a hidden gem. We went in late July and the water was so calm it truly made for a serene experience. The condo was the perfect size with an incredible view. During our stay we saw spinner dolphins and quite a few sea turtles not to far from shore. Tess was quick to respond whenever we had questions. We would love to stay here again!

A GEM ON THE WEST SIDE

-CONDO AND PROPERTY ARE WELL MAINTAINED -UNIT ITSELF IS CLEAN AND COMFY -ALL THE AMMENITIES WE NEEDED FOR A GREAT STAY -OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES INCLUDED FOR OUR FAMILY WERE PROVIDED SUCH AS SNORKELS AND POOL FUN -BEAUTIFUL BEACH -JACCUZZI FOR EVENING RELAXATION -BBQS TO GRILL IF YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE COOKING WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE AND CANT WAIT TO ENJOY THIS GEM ON THE WESTSIDE AGAIN :)

Nice condo, but not a great area

The condo was nice, plenty of supplies. Ocean view was amazing. Negatives were: the beach is not right in front of the condo, as shown, but not a far walk. Lots of people sleeping and living on the beaches. The town is nothing to brag about. You have to drive 20 miles to get somewhere "decent" and that may take you an hour due to traffic. I loved Kauai, but unfortunately will not return to Oahu due to this. Visiting "paradise" is not seeing people living in shacks made from pallets.

Aloha! Thank you for your review Tami, I appreciate feedback from my guests on their experiences while visiting Oahu and staying at my oceanfront condo. Apparently being right smack dab on the beach, (see other reviews) is not close enough for some! Depending on the time of year, guests surf, and body surf, and year round snorkel and swim without leaving the premises! Unfortunately in our state of Hawaii we do have a homeless issue along with many other cities across the U.S.A. The beach where the Princess is located does not have homeless sleeping on the beach that I have noticed. Fishermen are allowed on any beach in the state, and they like to fish at all hours, including through the night. Makaha has been the home of many generations of Hawaiians dating all the way back to petroglyphs. People come to the Princess for the natural beauty of the Makaha Valley and tend to look accept the surroundings not being manufactured, such as Waikiki, Ko'olina and other 5 star destination resorts. Vacationers who visit any of the islands and venture out beyond a destination resort will find "shacks" and the like virtually everywhere due to our homeless and underserved population. Yes I provide a list of attractions and adventures located all over Oahu to guests, where it can take up to an hour to drive (North Shore, Polynesian Cultural Center, etc) and all of the other highlights of Oahu. We do enjoy a marina down the street where you may swim with wild dolphins, sport fish, scuba dive and more. It's unfortunate I was not able to return the security deposit to you after learning of the damage caused to the condo after you checked out. It would have been nice to learn of this during your visit, allowing me to be pro-active in scheduling the repairs prior to the next guest arrival. Mahalo! Tess

Why they chose this property

This is a unique location as it has the most pristine, unspoiled and uninhabited beach I've ever seen on Oahu! I chose this particular condo unit because of its modern and comfortable feel. It offers a spacial, open feel with a private lanai. It's so peaceful here, and close to so many great outdoor adventures, amenities and conveniences. I have stayed in many tropical resorts. You rarely get this close to a nearly secluded beach as this anywhere in the world! There is a possibility of seeing turtles and monk seals lounging on your beach and you can see the whales and more go by right from your lanai. It is easy traveling to anywhere on this island for day trip adventures, although there is so much to do and see here right in Makaha~!
