The property is very well equipped. Everything we needed was there. Kitchen was very well stocked with crockery, glassware, cookware and cutlery and a great selection of DVDs to watch in the evening. The owner had also very generously left a wide supply of teas, coffee and cake. It was a fantastic location for our family get together over Easter. Lots of really nice walks to do and a very ease walk into the village centre where there are several pubs if you don't want to cook.

The area was a surprise, the countryside was beautiful, lots of interesting walks and things to do. Eating out was a highlight with so many fantastic places to eat. Best fish and chips in the uk at the Salt and Malt. The host was very hospitable and made us feel at home. We would highly recommend staying here.

We celebrated new years here couldn’t fault the place. The property is beautiful and much larger than we expected. Every conceivable requirement has been taken care of from the fantastic kitchen to the stunning bathrooms. Surrounded by countryside and a 10 minute walk to the charming nearby town, the property was perfect as a base to explore the area. Jaqueline the host was wonderful and really helpful. Highly recommended. First class.

Cheeky little break in Chew Magna

A lovely property in a fantastic location. A wide variety of walks from the property and the village is a short walk. The village boasts a few pubs - the pelican was excellent, highly recommend especially on pizza night. The property is very well equipped and the owners is extremely helpful. Highly recommend and we will definitely be rebooking.

From the moment we arrived and were shown around the property, we felt totally at home . Safe, quiet, comfortable and more than the photographs portray, this property offers a country retreat to remember! Jacqueline and her father were the perfect hosts, offering friendly advice and assistance when we arrived, but without imposing on our time or privacy. Fabulous stay

We stayed at the property four years ago so this is our second visit. Perfect home for a holiday near relatives and celebrating three birthdays. Bungalow has everything you need in beautiful surroundings which are ideal for walking and cycling. My son is a keen cyclist and we enjoyed walking to Chew Lake and the crazy golf nearby. If you book the property you will not be disappointed.

i have lived in the Chew Valley area all of my life. I teach at a local primary school and have 3 sons and 2 dogs.

This newly launched property is built to a very high specification. It is a very luxurious property with outstanding grounds.

What makes this property unique

This property is only 3 miles from Bristol airport, 8 miles to Bristol and Bath and 7 miles to Wells. Devon and Dorset can be reached within 1.5 hours by car. There are lots of fantastic tourist attractions such as the SS Great Britain, Bristol Harbourside, Cheddar and Wookey caves, Glastonbury Torr, the Roman city of Bath to name just a few. The village of Chew Magna is charming with a post-office, 3 nice pubs, a lovely little sea-food restaurant, a micro brewery, a tea shop and a co-op.
