Situated in the heart of the central Highlands of Scotland with spectacular loch, glen and mountain views all around Deerstalker's setting is magnificent where a true highland landscape awaits you and it is often complimented on the abundance of bird and wild life that can be regularly seen. It is not unusual to see the deer meandering off the hill and passing nearby the property.

Deerstalker comprises of 1 bedrooms and has recently been refurbished to a 5 star standard to include a fully tiled ensuite bathroom with full size bath, separate power shower cubicle and heated floor. All new wood affect flooring, low energy mineral filled electric heating system, curtains and low energy feature lighting. The bedroom configuration is a king sized double with a hotel standard, 2000 spring, pocket sprung mattress with cashmere top. A fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons and open plan living and dining with a wood burning stove. Step from this area through a sliding patio door onto a private West facing patio with garden furniture and a spectacular estate view and surrounding mountains. The chalet is equipped with a LCD TV with SKY package, Blu Ray DVD, Wi-Fi is available free of charge. There is even an onsite visitor centre with a small essentials shop, fresh organic meat from a farm locally for sale (perfect for a BBQ or home cooking), local information, a varied selection of board games and DVDs.

The Portnellan Estate has been privately owned by the same family for over 40 years and offers fantastic facilities including fresh run wild salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, plenty of cycling trails on and off road for all abilities, a games room with table tennis, table football, pool table and a small gym. Kayaks and rowing boats are free to use on the river and loch. Portnellan Estate is the perfect base for exploring Central/West Scotland with known landmarks only a short distance away. Oban 45 minutes, Stirling, Fort William and Glasgow just over 1 hour and Edinburgh a 90 min drive. Glen Coe and all it beholds is less than 40 mins drive and the bonnie shores of Loch Lomond are 20 mins by car. Other areas include the truly beautiful Glen Lyon and Loch Tay, Glen Etive, Glen Lochay and Glen Orchy all within the local area.
