Excellent appartement, ideal for a ski holiday in the French Alps

We had a fantastic time during our stay in Mme Barber's apartment. The appartement is spacious and clean, beautifully decorated in a traditional Haute Savoian style has all the facilities we needed to ensure we had a home from home experience. There is a good size induction hob cooker with oven and a spacious fridge freezer. The beds were confortable and good storage space for our clothes and ski gear. There is also a heated ski and boots locker outside the appartement. The garden at the back of the challet is a welcomed bonus, as we had a small picninc and admired the beautiful mountains and the snow falling. The location of the appartement is ideal for the access to Les Contamines Montjoie ski gondola, is a 5 mins walk in the ski boots. The local shops and the skimium ski rental place is also very close around 8 mins walk. We absolutely loved the heated swimming pool which was a welcome refuge to swim and relax after a busy day skiing. The generous garage space was also a fantastic and very welcomed bonus as we are travelling by car from UK and prefer to park the car in a locked garage. The skie resort in Les Contamine is so charming and beautiful, very well kept secret by the local and French skiers, the slopes and ski lifts are not crouded at all, even in the peak season as people prefer to ski in the nearby resorts of Chamonix, St Gervais or

Très bon séjour aux Contamines Montjoie

Appartement très sympathique et bien placé au Hameau non loin des télécabines. L’appartement est fonctionnel avec une belle terrasse à coté du torrent, très au calme. La piscine est très appréciable après une bonne journée de ski

Au sein d'une station familiale avec des activités variées pour toute la famille, cet appartement etait un agréable pied à terre, tres bien pour une famille de 4. Le gardien est accueillant. A refaire comme le dit le titre

Bon séjour dans un appartement fonctionnel mais trop sombre, le jour, car situé en RDC d'un immeuble de 3 étages, dans un endroit entouré d'arbres près du torrent.

Excellent séjour au hameau du Lay

Appartement très bien situé proche du télécabine permettant de rejoindre le domaine skiable des Contamines. L'appartement est bien agencé avec une très belle vue sur une rivière et sur la verdure. La piscine intérieure de la résidence est très agréable au retour du ski : c'est un vrai plus. Expérience à renouveler sans hésiter.

Parfait !

L'appartement est bien situé, la piscine est un plus, peut-être faudrait-il ajouter des couverts (assiettes, fourchettes, couteaux, et petites cuillères dans le tiroir de la table permettant de faire tourner le lave vaisselle moins souvent et économiser de l'eau.... Mais sinon nous sommes prêts à revenir l'an prochain !!!

Superbe séjour

Séjour très agréable dans un très bel environnement. Nous avons apprécié tout le confort de l'appartement, plus particulièrement d'avoir une vraie chambre, un séjour spatieux et une terrasse avec jardin. L'équipement était très suffisant, le parking tout proche et la météo nous a été très favorable, neige fraîche et soleil. Le gardien de la résidence est très serviable et accueillant. On reviendra avec plaisir.

La location est très bien situé dans un super cadre avec un accès à une piscine chauffée, dommage que la propreté de l'appartement laissé à désiré ainsi que la propreté des ustensiles de cuisine qui à mon avis devraient être renouvelé surtout les poêle.

Bon accueil bon emplacement mais...

Je n’ai rien à redire sur la qualité de l’accueil, ni sur l’emplacement qui sont parfaits. Le gardien est vraiment fantastique. Il est toujours présent est très avenant. L’appartement est situé dans un coin très calme à environ 1 km des commerces. Il est très propre. on sent que le propriétaire a vraiment envie de recevoir correctement ses hôtes. Par contre, certains points nous ont contrariés. D’une part, l’annonce mettait en avant une piscine couverte chauffée et le propriétaire l’avait mentionné dans le texte de description. Arrivée sur place, on a constaté que la piscine était fermée... grosse déception des enfants. On aurait apprécié d’être informé à l’avance. D’autre part, l’appartement est hors norme au niveau de l’électricité. Notamment, j’ai constaté une prise de courant directement sous l’égouttoir de cuisine ! Des spots sont fixés sur les lits de la chambre au niveau de la tête. Des multi prises courent un peu partout dans la maison. Ce n’est pas très rassurant. Enfin, il s’agit d’un appartement des années 70 qui apparemment a été très peu rénové. J’ai constaté des odeurs parfois un petit peu désagréable dû au vécu (Rideau de douche ou canapé qui sentent la sueur). Cet appartement mériterait un bon rafraîchissement. Voilà, j’essaie d’être le plus objectif possible.

Très bien placé mais appartement un peu "vieillot" qui mériterait un petit rajeunissement

Apartement bien situé et bien équipé. Super séjour

Proche des pistes , dans un endroit calme et donnant sur un joli ruisseau, cet appartement est relativement spacieux pour 4 personnes et très bien équipé. La piscine de la résidence est très appréciable pour se délasser après le ski . Le style de l’appartement pourrait être un peu rafraîchi.

Cosy cabin-like apartment, easy access to lifts and very helpful mandataire

The mandataire met us at the door & showed us everything( including the ski lifts 2 mins walk away). With Under cover parking, the apt had everything we needed for our week. We really relaxed and very much want to return here again.

Un super séjour

Une résidence très sympathique, un appartement parfaitement bien équipé, nous venons de passer d'excellentes vacances aux Contamines Montjoie. Un emplacement idéal car au rez-de-chaussé et ce petit torrent qui coule non loin est charmant. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir car nous n'avons pas eu le temps de faire toutes les randonnées proposées.

Semaine au ski idéale

appartement idéalement situé. on laisse la voiture dans le parking couvert et la semaine se fait à pied: 5 minutes des télécabines et de la piste de luge, 15 minutes du centre village. la cuisine est vraiment bien équipée ( appareil à raclette, nombreux plats allant au four etc...) la semaine à 4 ( dont deux enfants de 4 et 7 ans ) s'est passée au top!

Appartement très bien situé et très agréable

Appartement spacieux et très bien situé dans une résidence calme. A la fois proche de la télécabine du Lay pour le ski alpin, du parc nordique et des boutiques du hameau du Lay. L'appartement est grand, la piscine est un plus agréable et la terrasse doit être sympa en été avec la rivière qui coule à côté et qui donne un aspect bucolique inhabituel en station. Parking couvert appréciable aussi en hiver. L'arrivée/départ se fait sans problème grâce au gardien de la résidence. En résumé un très bon rapport espace, service, emplacement/prix.

Excellent facilities, beautiful location!

We have had an excellent holiday in this beautiful apartment. Situated within a walking distance to the ski gondola and the shops, the apartment is in a perfect location. The swimming pool was a big bonus especially for our daughter who loves swimming as well as skiing. We have really appreciated the enclosed garage and the heated ski room too. All in all an amazing ski holiday in a perfect location. We loved it so much that we will definitely go back.
