Sugar Beach Resort sits steps away from the Pacific Ocean in North Kihei and a 5-mile white sandy beach that fronts the property. Guest enjoy taking morning and sunset beach walks while enjoying the panoramic view of Pacific Ocean.

Watch Humpback whales visit the Hawaiian waters each year from Jan - March you will be able to catch a glimpse of Hawaii's Humpback whales from our Lanai.

Sugar Beach is centrally located, minutes away from Lahaina, Kapalua, downtown Kihei, Wailea, north shore/Paia and some of Maui's famous beaches, renowned golf courses and Maalea Harbor where the Maui Ocean Aquarium is.

The resort comprises of two six story building with elevators on each building. It has a large pool area with Jacuzzi and children's wading pool, spa, oceanfront gas BBQ, sandwich shop/bar, massage place, and free on-site open parking and one covered parking located in the Mills Building. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with putting green and a Koi pond.

Our renovated condo is aesthetically furnished! Featuring central air conditioning, in-unit front loading washer/dryer, safe, free WiFi, free long distance phone calls between US and Canada, and hardwood floor throughout the unit. It's beautifully decorated with premium furnishings, including a DVD player, 2 Flat Screen TV with cable -- 55” living room and a 46" smart TV in the bedroom. The unit is also equipped with a WiFi booster.

Our gourmet kitchen is fully stacked and is ready for any chefs who love to cook. It is equipped with Stainless Steel appliances. Cherry colored cabinets, granite counter and stylish island a beautiful bar style dining table that sits four.

King size bed in the bedroom with luxury linens, duvet covers, towels and a queen size sleeper bed in the living room. Mirror glass sliding closet doors. Soft white window covering providing a comfortable setting after a long day of outside activity. The bathroom is tastefully designed with 12x12 rain shower head to pamper you after a long day of lounging in the beach.

The private lanai looks out over the ocean where you can see Molokini crater and Kahoolawe island (the only uninhabited island in Hawaii) as well as the central promenade/pool area. On a clear day, you will be able to see the observatory on top of Haleakala mountain.

SB201 as we call our condo is our second home away from home and it is our getaway place and a place to re-energize and rekindle life when it gets too much! It is a place where you don't have to worry about the crowded beach and walkways, just enjoy the beach and the sunset!

Wonderful Stay

Waking up each morning to have coffee on the lanai and look at both the water and the sunrise over the mountain was a dream. Then having direct access to walk the beach made for a great start to the day. In-unit laundry was so convenient. Super convenient location to get around the island: easy from airport, quick to the marina, and close to explore everything else. Bonus was having Dina's located on the property for great sandwiches and drinks. Sue was so accommodating and responsive, made for a seamless stay! Would stay again!

Third Stay in Condo - EXCELLENT!

This was our 3rd stay in 3 years at Sue’s Sugar Beach condo. As in year’s gone by, the condo is well equipped, decorated beautifully and offers all the comforts of home. We love the location on the 2nd floor, tucked in the corner, with a lanai that offers must needed shade at the end of the day. We never had to use the air conditioning as the living room has great panel drapes that you can draw across during the hot afternoon sun and, when the sun goes around late in the day, simply opening the drapes allowed us to enjoy the lanai without the blazing sun. One great addition this year to Sue’s unit was the replacement of the cellular blind that covers the side window in the living room. As Sue’s unit is at the end of the building, there is a large picture window that only end units have. Last year, the blind was not usable due to a broken cord. This year, the new blind provides the option to open the blind and get much more light into the unit. We loved it! 2nd floor unit even with blind open allows lots of privacy. We were also pleased to see that Sue had added new shelving in the bedroom closet. Allowed us lots of storage options. The bedroom has a huge dresser for your clothes. We did not lack for space. There are also 2 great Tommy Bahama chairs, a small umbrella, lots of beach toys. We donated a new boogie board to the unit this year. There are also several soft side coolers available for packing picnic lunches when touring the Island. We find that the Sugar Beach Resort location is perfect for anyone wanting to be right in the middle of all the activities. It is only a 15 minute drive to Costco, Target and Walmart as well as the airport. If you want to visit the Kam Beaches in South Kihei or the beaches of Wailea, you are only 15 minutes away as well. If you choose to go to Lahaina, also only about 1/2 hour away. It is a great central location and a lovely resort truly ocean front location. Love the grassed area right by the beach which has lovely chaise lounges chairs. This is a great area to sit if the winds pick up and the sand is blowing on the beach. And the beach itself is long and offers a wonderful walk whenever you feel like it. And don’t miss out on outrigger paddling at the Maui Canoe Club. For about $40, you get 4 paddles. You will get as close to whales as you can. Forget the whale watching trips, this is way better. We are looking forward to our next stay at Sue’s wonderful condo!

Absolutely gorgeous condo! This was our first time staying at Sugar Beach and it did not disappoint! Sue is an amazing host, attention to detail with everything in the condo. Well equipped condo on beautiful beach

We have stayed in this condo many times and it never disappoints. Many new updates this year. Always well equipped. Great location. Close to road to Kaualui for Costco Walmart and Target. Close to all the best beaches on the island. Parking never a problem. Lovely pool area with a lot of lounge chairs. Grills by pool are always available. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Spot

This was our first time in Maui, the Kihei location is perfect. It felt central to everything. We enjoyed a 2.5 mile walk on the beach every morning. SB201 location is on the beach, its great. Place was very nice, we did not cook just had coffee and some of the maui banana bread in the morning , we enjoyed it very much.

Great Stay in a beautiful place.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Sugar Beach Resort. The location is great as it's quiet and a little bit away from the hustle of Kihei but still a short walk to an ABC. The unit is immaculately clean and freshly renovated. The unit is stocked with everything you can imagine for cooking and enjoying the beach. Great sun on the Lanai until early afternoon. A short drive to whale watching tours in Maalaea and 20 minutes from McKeana State Park. There is a small bar and grill right on the property. Ample parking and lounging space at the pool.

Quiet location

We enjoyed having this condo as our home base each evening after exploring Maui! We loved that it was centrally located on the island in Kihei, but not IN the busyness of Kihei. The only thing I wish was different was the size of the bathroom, the shower specifically. It is very small, with a half glass wall and no actual door to the shower. It also has an oversized rain showerhead that made it feel even smaller. It was difficult to comfortably move in the shower and stay warm. It worked ok for us as adults, but if we were traveling with kids, the shower would have made it really difficult to make sure the kids got really clean after a day at the beach. We would have been mopping up the floor after each kid shower for sure!

Cozy gem @ Sugar Beach

This cute little condo was a wonderful stay at Sugar Beach and was a comfortable home away from home over our two week honeymoon. The resort was kept clean with a beautiful beach. It was well organized and had everything we needed. We definitely would consider coming back to this ocean front condo.

Great location!

Location is FANTASTIC! All high rated food trucks and restaurants are super close! The airport is also very close (about 15-20 minutes). The apartment had everything you need for your Maui vacation (beach chairs, umbrella, towels and toys). The bed was very comfortable and our son loved the sofa bed. The apartment is perfect for a family of 3 or 4. The washer and the dryer is a HUGE PLUS! - Sue is very responsive and always replies to any question or queries right away. We had a great time and we hope we get to visit Maui again! Mahalo :)

We are proud parents of two successful children and also a proud grandparents. We started going to Maui when our children are young kids now they are married and have their own family.

We love Maui and we love Sugar Beach. In 2014 we had an opportunity to own our unit and this became our second home away from home when life gets busy in mainland. We wanted to share with you the joys that we found when we first came to Maui and we hope that you will find the same magic that we discovered years ago.

As we get closer to retirement, the plan is to live in the Mountains of Maui while we continue to share with you our little cozy home at Sugar Beach. Welcome to our home and we hope that you will continue to come back.

The five mile sandy beach and the beautiful sunset are just one of the many reasons why we choose SB201. We've visited all the island in Hawaii and Maui captivated our hearts. Sugar Beach had been home to us for years since our children are young. We are blessed that we had a chance to own one of the units.

Now we want to share with you our home and we want you to experience island paradise at its best without breaking your budget.
