About this property

Cottage in front of the beach, with large garden and parking

Independent house 100 meters from the sea. Parking, large garden, terraces with spectacular views. 20 km (15 minutes) from Palermo, 40 km from Cefalù, in a very quiet residential area, not far from the station and motorway junction. The ideal place to stay in relax to comfortably visit the beauties of western Sicily.

The house is on two levels: downstairs there is a double sofa bed, TVand access to the bathroom with bidet and walk-in shower; above the wooden mezzanine there is a double bed with wardrobe space, and windows with sea view.

The house has air conditioning and wifi. Around the house there is a large garden with trees, pond, a pergola with climbing vine tree, a large terrace with kitchen, induction hob, washing machine.

The large beach of about a kilometer, of sand and pebbles, is located right in front of the house and can be accessed freely by an underpass a hundred meters from the house. The beach has free areas and areas served with umbrellas and deck chairs. There are also many other beaches and coves in the surroundings that you can explore in relaxation or for snorkeling.

The area is residential, with predominantly summer attendance. The beach is very beautiful and wide. It is close to Palermo, Cefalù and other tourist attractions of western Sicily, but far from the chaos of the city. And the sea is a three-minute walk away!

A car is recommended. The accommodation has private parking. The train station is 3 km away, as is the village where the nearest shops are located.

Me and my family are in another house nearby but with independent access, for any need of guests.

Very nice Cottage!

We had a great time at the Cottage. The view was incredible and the outdoor kitchen had its charm. There was a spot in the driveway where we parked our car so we did not have to find a parking space. The host Roberto is very accommodating and the communication was super easy. In summary the cottage is a good place to spend a few days in sicily!

Prachtige plek!

Roberto is een hele fijne gastheer, zeer gastvrij en hij weet veel over de buurt, de planten en bomen etc. Roberto heeft ons veel leuke tips gegeven over typisch Siciliaanse gerechten! Het uitzicht vanaf het terras is prachtig, heerlijk om in de avond met een glas wijn van de enoteca uit het dorp van te genieten. In het dorp zijn een aantal fijne eet plekken. Er zijn leuke rustige strandjes in de buurt. Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad en zouden graag terug komen!

My wife and I grew up in Palermo, but we decided to live outside the city because we love the sea and a peaceful life. We have two children and two dogs. We love nature and often take walks in the parks near the house.
Before moving here we have lived for a long time in other areas of Italy and abroad. We have traveled a lot and we like to meet people from other cultures and traditions

Why they chose this property

We love this area of ​​Sicily. It is close to the city, with all its services and events, and at the same time in a quiet and residential area, facing the sea, which you can enjoy all year round. We like taking care of the garden and the vegetable garden, of our animals, and this property is ideal.
We have recently renovated the guest house in the property, completely independent and with private access, resrving it to friends and visitors.

What makes this property unique

The wonder of this house is the view across the gulf, from Mongerbino to Cefalù, which on clear days extends to the Aeolian Islands. We love the beautiful beach right in front of the house, which you can reach by simply crossing the road. Also the large garden all around the house is full of flowers and seasonal vegetables.
To be able to fully enjoy the view and the garden, we decided to create the kitchen area directly on the terrace, protected by a canopy roof, so as to dine with the noise of the background waves.
