Skiing/Snowboarding. The funicular up to Les Arcs 1600 which connects to the enormous Paradiski is only 10-12 minutes drive down the mountain from the Chalet.

Also within about a half hour drive there’s access to many of the best resorts in the Tarentaise Valley, Les Arcs, La Plagne, La Rosière, St Foy and even Val d'Isère and Tignes.

In Summer, with mountain biking, horse riding, canoeing, golf, hiking, white water rafting, climbing, paragliding and even Summer Skiing, the Tarentaise should appeal to the most active person.

The unique charm and character of the mountain villages makes them a truly magical place to simply relax and soak up the atmosphere. They're not purpose built holiday resorts; they are living, breathing villages where traditional alpine lifestyle's survive. The breath taking '5 Lakes' walk starts from the fort and takes around 2 hours  

The Cormet de Roseland, which passes below the village, provides the spectacular setting for a famous stage of 'The Tour De France'. Along this route towards Beaufort lies the extaordinary L'aiguille des glaciers, part of the Tour du Mont-Blanc, a protected vallee only accessible in Summer that retains it's glacier snow thoughout the year.

Soggiorno a Les Echines Dessous / Chalet Tarine - Bourg St. Maurice

La casa è come prospettata nelle fotografie, ma, all'arrivo, la pulizia lasciava a desiderare soprattutto per quanto riguarda la cucina. Cosa però più importante e in negativo è che la casa non si trova a 2.5 km da Bourg St.Maurice, ma ad oltre 6 km con una strada stretta e molto impegnativa. Il proprietario è stato gentile e puntuale nell'assistenza.

Merveilleux chalet

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine entre amis (trois familles) dans le chalet Tarine. Le chalet a fait l'objet d'une rénovation très soignée : très beaux matériaux, belle salles de bain, les chambres spacieuses ont vue sur la montagne, la grande pièce de vie est très chaleureuse. La literie est excellente. Tout était impeccable. Côté pratique : tout le linge de maison est fourni, grande pièce chauffée au sous-sol où on peut se déchausser et faire sécher les vêtements. Le domaine des Arcs offre des pistes variées pour tous les goûts et niveaux. Nous laissions notre voiture sur la parking de Bourg Saint Maurice et accédions aux Arcs 1600 par le funiculaire (compter environ 30 m entre le départ du chalet et l'arrivée sur les pistes ; nous avions loué un casier à skis (chauffé) auprès de notre loueur de matériel (Skimium), très pratique. Bref, semaine de rêve, nous recommandons vivement le chalet de Tom. I et H Guilbaud

Beautiful apartment with stunning views

The apartment was as described and being disabled this is important to me. The bathroom is exceptional with it's walk in shower and large alpine bath. Everything we needed was provided. I would recommend this property without hesitation especially if you like the moutains The town of Bourg St Maurice was within easy reach and there were plenty of restaurants and a very good Super U. The trip up the funicular railway is an experience I will remember for along time it was fabulous. I walk with crutches and found that everywhere we visited there were facilities I could manage and I didn't feel that I was missing out on any of the experiences available. I hope to be able to reurn at some stage in the future.
