Chesterman Beach Fine Art Vacation House - Walking distance to North Chesterman

Built in the early 2000’s, our 1100 sq ft open-concept family home was designed to maximize observation of nature and yet make one feel cozy and sheltered from the elements. Vaulted ceilings and ample windows allow lots of natural light into the house. There are sheer curtains that provide privacy but no black out curtains which allows you to observe where the sun, moon and stars are located in the skies. We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Nestled in the trees, you can hear the sound of the ocean with a secluded beach path minutes away from spectacular Chesterman Beach. We are now opening up to offer visitors a unique experience to explore nature and culture at the same time. Our home features a collection of original oil paintings and watercolors of the region painted over the last decade with a self-guided exhibition, just as you would find in a major art museum. These paintings feature different scenic landmarks of Clayoquot Sound and give visitors a unique experience and hopefully a deeper appreciation of all the surrounding nature.

In the evenings, get warm and cozy by our natural gas fireplace in the sunken living room, play somemusic and enjoy sipping some wine while taking in a large format oil painting of the rainforest.

Fall asleep on one of the 2 twin beds in the upstairs loft bedroom where lots of windows showcase the trees and starry night skies and allow you to follow the path of the moon through the night. The cozy master bedroom shares the double-sided gas fireplace with the sunken living room and has a queen bed. All our beds have comfortable sheets and duvets.

Our cedar deck comes with a propane BBQ and outdoor hot shower. The bathroom comes with heated floors, bath tub, shower and towels. Please bring your favourite bath and beauty products for your own use. We have a hairdryer for guests to use.

The kitchen with custom fir cabinetry is fully equipped with cookware , blender, coffee maker, salt and pepper etc. Dish cloths and dish soap are also provided.

The artist’s studio is in a building adjacent to the house. We are a family with young children and we live on the property in the studio and also in a suite downstairs. We are usually outdoors but occasionally you can hear the sounds of our studio grand piano floating in the air. We value your time, enjoyment and privacy during your vacation and will not be interacting with you much during your stay but should you need anything please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Please note this rental is not suitable for those looking to party. We live in a quiet residential neighbourhood with wonderful neighbours and quiet times in place.
