Comfortable traditional Canary house with sea views and private Swimming Pool

El Sitio mixes traditional Canarian house with farmhouse kitchen and modern bathroom. The house is complimented by a large garden with herbs, roses, tropical plants and trees. Below the garden is a large private swimming pool. The unheated pool which measures 7m x 3.5m is maintained all year round. The pool has a fence around the perimeter.
The heart of the house is the light, airy, well equipped dining kitchen leading onto the large covered dining terrace, a perfect place to enjoy candlelit dinners . There is an additional garden terrace also with wooden furniture ideal for soaking up the sun. There are fabulous sea and sunset views from the pool terrace and house terraces.
The house sleeps a total of 4 people. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 twin, 1 double, both having good quality cotton linen and duvets. The comfortable sitting room is equipped with a flat screen TV. The original wooden floors and vaulted ceilings in the sitting room and bedrooms accentuate the older part of El Sitio.
Please note that with being a traditional Canarian house, the main part of the house is built in a way that allows the air to circulate.
The interior bedroom walls are left open at the very top, where the interior wall meets the slope of the vaulted wooden ceiling. This traditional feature keeps the bedrooms airy and cool, but cuts down on privacy. The sitting room is situated between the bedrooms.
El Sitio is situated in a very quiet, peaceful part of Puntagorda, yet only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village.

Hemos disfrutado mucho en esta casa: La piscina y zonas exteriores son ideales para por el día disfrutar del entorno tranquilo y las vistas hacia el océano y por las noches del cielo estrellado. Una verdadera maravilla. Por dentro está muy bonita decorada, estilo casa rural, todo muy cuidado y con bonitos detalles. Leoncio, el propietario, se esmera mucho por que no falte nada y cuando le hemos necesitado siempre nos ha atendido con rapidez. Fue un acierto haber escogido esta casa para nuestras vacaciones con nuestros hijos.

Kanarisches Haus in sonniger Lage mit duftendem Garten

Der Eigentümer Leo ist sehr freundlich und hat viel Humor. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist im kanarischen Stil gebaut, so dass auch bei heißen Temperaturen es angenehm kühl im Haus war. Wir haben uns nach Wanderungen sehr gern im Garten erholt. Die Blumen und Obstbäume duften wunderbar. Obst, Wasser und Wein waren bei unserer Ankunft für uns bereit gestellt. Das Haus ist so liebevoll eingerichtet, und als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Norden ist die Lage perfekt. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder !

Very nice house in good location, quiet surroundings and a kind, good-hearted host

We really enjoyed our stay in Leo's house. The house is very pretty, well-kept, totally clean and very well equipped. The pool is private for the house and was ideal for our three-year-old son due to the multi-level entrance. Leo is a very helpful and warm-hearted host, really a loveable person. We can highly recommend this place for families, and also for astronomy enthusiasts because of the location and very low light pollution. In the phases where there was no moon in the sky we had very good seeings with a telescope we had brought with us.

Absolutely wonderul house and garden!!

We spent a lovely two week holiday in El Sitio with our three children! The house is very nicely decorated, flowers and wine were waiting on our arrival. The garden was flowering all over with a lovely pool area and a wide and excellent view of the atlantic. Stars at night, very silent. We can highly recommend both the house as well the super friendly and helpful owner!

Das wunderschöne Haus in schöner Landschaft ermöglichte einen tollen Urlaub!

Sehr schön gelegen, gut ausgestattet, mit tollen Terrassen, einem phantastischen Garten bietet das Haus Erholung pur! Nicht zu letzt ist dies auch die Handschrift des Besitzers, der dieses liebevolle Ambiente schuf und einen herzlichen Empfang bereitete. Die abendliche Kälte bedingt durch die Lage konnten die bereitgestellten Öfen gut ausgleichen. Wir haben die Zeit genossen und kommen gerne wieder - und dies vielleicht nicht nur während der Mandelblüte.

Best place to regain strength

A week is never enough to explore the whole beauty of this island. El Sitio is the best place to rest after hikes and recharge your batteries. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired. And if something is missing, the owner is immediately there and helps. Due to the detailed directions and also the new roaming conditions (Google Maps) the arrival was no problem at all. The equipment and the condition of the house corresponds completely to the description, is in part even exceeded. The pictures show the real beauty of the property only partially - in fact, everything is much more beautiful. This apartment is a real secret tip. Eine Woche ist niemals genug, um die ganze Schönheit dieser Insel zu erkunden. El Sitio ist der beste Ort, um nach Wanderungen auszuruhen und neue Kraft zu tanken. Die Ausstattung lässt nichts vermissen. Und wenn doch etwas fehlt, ist der Eigentümer sofort zur Stelle und hilft. Durch die ausführliche Wegbeschreibung und auch die neuen Roamingbedingungen (Google Maps) war die Anreise überhaupt kein Problem. Die Ausstattung und der Zustand des Hauses entspricht vollständig der Beschreibung, wird teilweise sogar übertroffen. Die Bilder zeigen die wahre Schönheit des Anwesens nur ansatzweise - in Wirklichkeit ist alles noch viel schöner. Diese Wohnung ist ein echter Geheimtipp.

Great place to relax

The finca itself is very nice and there is a nice garden with really fancy pool. The interior of the Finca is also very good (bathroom, bedroom, living room etc.) and for stuff which seems to be missing you get nice support from the owner of the finca. All over we had a great time on la Palma and the nice finca with the nice atmosphere and nice people made our vacation four our family a great memory!

Mooi verblijf met alle comfort

De woning bevat bijna alles wat je nodig hebt om een fijne vakantie te hebben. Het huis is prima ingericht en biedt voldoende ruimte voor 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen. Alle comfort is aanwezig en de woning is zeer net. Het zwembad perfect. De ligging vlak bij het dorp en niet ver van de hoofdweg is prima. Er heerst absolute rust. De ontvangst en de ondersteuning tijdens het verblijf zijn hartelijk. Wat je moet weten voor je boekt: de omgeving is landelijk waardoor insecten en hagedissen regelmatig in huis opduiken. Het enige wat voor ons ontbrak was de mogelijkheid om de slaapkamer te verkoelen. Zoals gemeld op de site is er geen wifi, maar dat mag geen probleem zijn om een fijne vakantie te hebben in dit huis.

Stunning Country house - wunderschönes Ferienhaus

We spend only one week in this beautiful, well-kept and very clean house in Puntagorda and we had a really great time there. We stayed there with our 4 years old son. We arrived late at night on La Palma and travelled about 12 hours and also got lost on our way to the house but the owner (a genuinely kind man) waited for us the whole time. The house was decorated with love - flowers all over th place and a bottle of good tasting red wine was waiting for us (we appreciated it quite much after the long journey).What a warm welcome!!! This house has got everything what you need for a relaxing and extraordinary holiday. The holiday home is located in a quite of surrounding but in 5 minutes by walking you are in town. If we get the chance to come back we will stay much longer than a week! It is absolutely recommendable.... Wir haben 2 Wochen auf La Palma verbracht und davon eine in diesem wunderschönen, gepflegten Landhaus. Nach einer langer und beschwerlichen Reise mit Kind sind wir spät abends angekommen. Da wir uns auch noch zusätzlich im Dunkeln verfahren haben, hat die Reise noch länger gedauert ud wir waren extrem müde, jedoch hat der Besitzer auf uns die ganze Zeit gewartet. Das Haus war liebevoll mit Blumen und Blüten dekoriert, es war auch mitten in der Nacht ein wunderschöner Anblick (eine Flasche des berühmten palmerischen Rotweins stand für uns ebenso in der Küche bereit). Am nächsten Morgen konnten wir das gesamte Grundstück erblicken und waren faziniert von dem gepfelgten und wunderschönen Garten und dem großartigen Pool. Unser Vierjähriger hatte hier seinen größten Spaß. Das Haus bietet alles was man zum Verweilen braucht. Selbst Kleinigkeiten wie Spülmittel, Toilettenpapier, Lappen, Flüssigseife, usw. waren ausreichend vorhanden (hatten noch ein weiteres Haus gebucht, für die zweite Woche und mussten feststellen, dass dies kein Standard ist). Wir können das Haus und den Ort Puntagorda absolut empfehlen! Beim nächsten Mal werden wir gleich dort den gesamten Urlaub verbringen. Im übrigen verlief die Buchung, Bezahlung und Rückfragen über den Besitzer super schnell und zu unser vollsten Zufriedenheit.

El SItio is a very nice house surrounded by a wonderful garden with terraces and flowering plants. It is situated in a beautiful area of Puntagorda.The host is very kind and helpful. The house was very clean and tidy. Absolutely recommendable house.

We had wonderfull hollidays in this house.

We stay in this house for four weeks in the time from 17.12. 2013 to 14.01.2014. It was a wonderfull time, the house was very clean and the hirer excellent. We had a spendid view, an it was wonderfull quite in the house. When the swimmin pool ist ready the house became the next star. Peter Hufer

A Beautiful House in a Great Location

Thanks to the maps and direction provided we found the house easily. It's around a two hour drive from the airport. We stopped at the supermarket in El Paso to pick up supplies. On arrival we found a bottle of wine and flowers on the table A very nice touch. The house is located on the edge of the village of Puntagorda and is set in attractive gardens with a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. Wonderful sunsets are to be viewed thought the kitchen window every evening! The description of the house is accurate and if anything understates the facilities available. Not mentioned in the details for example is the washing machine which we found in an outside cupboard on our second day and which we found very useful. The large kitchen is a feature of the house and contains absolutely everything you need for a self catering holiday in style.The house was immaculately clean throughout. Leoncio, the owner called round several time during our stay and was very helpful and informative and our our thanks to Hazel for her assistance, especially in advising the whereabouts of an English speaking dentist! I would happily recommend this property to anyone visiting La Palma and hope to return there ourselves sometime. If you are looking for a quiet place to chill out in beautiful surrounding look no further.
