About this property
Sissinghurst Stables in the Garden of England, sleeps 5, large enclosed garden.
‘Sissinghurst Stables’ are located up a long 'gated' private drive just outside the village of Sissinghurst in Kent. It is a calm tranquil space with two bedrooms, a kitchen with a comfortable seating area looking out on to the terrace and large private fenced garden. A bathroom with a bath and shower over and a separate toilet. There is also a snug tv room for cosy evenings. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed with great quality linens and the second bedroom has a bunk bed with a mezzanine floor where a single fold out mattress can be made up for a third child. The decor is inspired by the beautiful countryside and gardens around us.
Sissinghurst Castle Gardens are just down the road and there are numerous other National Trust and British Heritage properties close by, including Leeds Castle, Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle and Dover Castle. Pashley Manor Gardens, Great Dixter and Hole Park. Bedgebury Pinetum with it's fantastic woodland children's trail is 15 minutes drive and Rye and Camber Sands on the Coast 40 minutes away. Lots to see and do!
We have a fantastic local pub ‘The Milkhouse’ a ten minute walk away through the woods and fields, and our local small town Cranbrook is a five minute drive.
We live in the main house with our two friendly dogs Yogi and Hebe and are on hand if you need any assistance or information during your stay. We mainly use eco cleaning & washing products, avoid plastics, wash and dry our laundry on site and recycle as much as possible to do our bit for sustainable travel.

Why they chose this property
The Stables is tucked away up at the top of an electric gated drive but still close to the village of Sissinghurst with it's fantastic pub 'The Milkhouse' which is well known for it's delicious wood fired pizzas, restaurant and child friendly garden. The Stables have a large wildlife friendly garden and is sympathetically decorated with a botanical theme.
Sissinghurst Gardens is a 30 minute walk (past The Milkhouse!) or a 5 minute drive. Go and see the beautiful gardens or just take the dog for a walk around the estate.
Bedgebury Pinetum is a magical playground for children with its many woodland play areas dotted around and family walks in the forest. Or hire some mountain bikes for a woodland trail. They also have a Go Ape treetop adventure if you're brave.
