I'm Austrian from Kitzbuehel (which is quite clear looking at my profile picture) and I have been living in Siracusa now for twenty years. I have known a couple of decades ago my husband, who is Syracusaen, in Florence when I did my PhD there, and then we moved both to Siracusa.
After we have opened and managed for more than ten years a smart boutique hotel in Siracusa, we both needed a new challenge. So we decided to do a more relaxed and less franetic lifestyle and started hosting friends at our seaside Villa Enza, named after my mother-in-law.
Sicily is a wonderful island. Always sunny, always good food everywhere and endless hidden gems to discover. Also we, during our weekly day-trips by motorbike, are still discovering magnificent and unique places and people. Don't hesitate to ask us any suggestion you need!
Don't wast time, take a fast plane and enjoy every day on this wonderful island! A tip: avoid the very busy and hot month of August. The best period is October: the seawater is warm, the island is not so crowded and the temperature is just wonderful.
