Beautiful location and perfect villa

We had a wonderful time and would recommend the village of Salema and the villa itself to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday with all the amenities. The beach is beautiful and there are so many lovely places to eat just a walk away. It is perfect for families with older children who would enjoy some independence.

Fabulous House and Location

The house is fabulous. Great layout with playroom (pool table....) next to the pool. Kitchen has a great layout for cooking. Quick walk into town and the beach. If you want a relaxing place to stay and then drive to go sightseeing this is the place. Loved staying here and would definitely return. The owner really cares about his properties and quickly responds to inquiries.

Wonderful spacious property with beautiful views and comfortable beds! Each room having its own bathroom made it ideal for us as 2 families with adult kids. The kitchen was well equipped for dining in, and the villa was well positioned to access cocktail bars and restaurants in Salema. We could lie by the pool or stroll down to the beach

Fantastic house with gorgeous views

We had a lovely two week stay at this property. The host provided us with all the details we needed to grt to the house and about the town and surrounding area, so check in was a breeze. The house is very clean, very well appointed, and modern. The views are gorgeous. There is a beautiful secluded beach a stones throw from the house down an adventurous trail. Salema itself is a great little town as well; not touristy at all- very low key and down to earth. Samantha was there for us every step of the way and made our stay very easy. We’d go again!

Fantastic holiday with old friends

This delightful villa was better than described. Location and sea view is stunning from the terraces, balconies and all rooms in this light and airy villa. The villa is equipped to a very high standard with everything you need for a very relaxing holiday. We enjoyed the pool and games room and had several barbecues. The village and beach is within easy walking distance and is quiet and very clean. Although the sea is cold it is exhilarating and great fun when the breakers are rolling in. We would recommend this villa and the surrounding area of the Algarve. Finally the owners and staff of 'Simply Salema' could not have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Fantastic Villa!!

We loved the villa and the description on the website matched all expectations.The property was well maintained and the Manager was very good and attended to any small problems immediately. We have 2 suggestions, viz: Convert the barbecue to gas as this makes cleaning for holidaymakers easier!! Also provide a wire brush for cleaning the grid. We found the wall around the pool area blocked out the sea view; we believe this replaced the fence because walkers on the path intruded on privacy. Surely the latter can be solved by some polite notices?!! We really do think this spoils the pool area and defeats the purpose of a "pool by the sea". Peter Ledger South Africa

This property is really lovely. Large communal areas such as the lounge, dining and pool areas. Bedrooms are light and airy in the main villa and very comfortable. We stayed in the self contained annexe and the grown up kids and grandchildren stayed in the main villa. This worked really well for us. Kitchen is well equipped. Villa is in a great spot with amazing views and its a short 10 minute walk in to Salema which we believe is the jewel of the Algarve. It's a perfect little village with friendly and comfortable restaurants serving great food. The beach is amazing and well equipped with sun beds, cabanas and umbrellas. The only downside of the holiday/villa was the fact that in mid July it was still exceptionally windy making it very cold in the evenings. Sunbathing at the villa during the day was fine but we were disappointed that the sun went off the whole pool area by 4.30pm/5pm latest and therefore we had to go inside as it was just too cold outside. It wasnt comfortable using the BBQ as it was really chilly. We felt this was a real shame as it made the days shorter and the evenings longer - we like to sunbathe later than this. Overall we would recommend this villa - it was lovely and clean, the man who met us there was very helpful and it felt really homely. Thank you!

Pure paradise

myself and my family had a fabulous week in October, in this beautiful villa! which sits among the most beautiful surroundings? on arrival we were made most welcome, and the villa was spotlessly clean. The pool and games room were an added bonus, and were enjoyed by all during the week. the location is idyllic, and it is a short walk to the beach, and local resteraunts. What more could you ask for, absolute paradise.

Fantastic....perfect villa and perfect setting!!

We have stayed in many villas over the years and this is by far the best. Not only is it truly luxurious, the location is perfect with direct access onto an unspoiled beach. Simply Salema could not be more helpful and provided a very personalised holiday. We will be returning and would definitely recommend both the villa and Simply Salema to anyone wanting a holiday to remember.

Amazing place

Amazing villa, pool and location. Peaceful but located within walking distance of Salema with supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Great beach. Extremely sfae for young children (we have a 2 yr old) as fully enclosed. Can't actually think of anything missing, all possibilities covered, including a shower at the pool side. Will definitely be coming back.

Highly recommended

Wonderful villa, fabulous views and faultless customer service both before we arrived and whilst we were there. THe only small negative point for me was that the pool was too cold (26 degrees) for my 2 young children even with the pool heating on. However, I would highly recommend staying here.

Why they chose this property

Salema chose us, really. After years of family holidays in this beautiful, unspoilt village on the western Algarve, we fell so deeply in love with the place that we decided to put down roots — designing and building Casa das Estevas from the ground up to share that same joy with others.
