Holiday home on the hills of Val di Nievole between Lucca, Pistoia and Montecatini, private pool

Casa Milena is situated on the hills of Val di Nievole, half way between Lucca and Pistoia, immersed in the greenery, surrounded by high trees and in the vicinity to a little torrent, part of an old mill, which in antique times was grinding the grain.
The guests will have available for their use a small volley ball court.
Casa Milena disposes of a terrace garden, of about 500sqm, completely fenced, a half in the ground built swimming pool (one side on the ground level; size: 3.8 x 7.9 m; Depth: 1.2m) equipped with deck chairs, umbrella and a veranda with table, chairs and a barbecue for dining al fresco.Parking within property.
The other part of the house, with an independent entrance, is inhabited only from time to time.

The house is conveniently located to reach restaurants and shops (2km) or for visiting cities like Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Montecatini Terme (in only 6km) the latter famous for its healing waters and its therapeutic springs.
Here the guests find also very nice boutiques, a horse stable and a Golf court. Guests have also the possibility to organize foot walks or trips by bike to visit the little and medieval hamlets such as Buggiano Castello, Uzzano and Massa Cozzile, where it is possible to taste local specialties in characteristic restaurants.

I forgot to put a comment for our stay in 2023 but it is the same as 2021 and 2025 (our last summer stay in July this year). The owners are very lovely and discrete persons, and we enjoy staying in Casa Milena because of the location in middle of nowhere but at 10 minutes drives from Montecatini Terme and 40 minutes from Lucca. It I the perfect quite place for “Farniente” and enjoying of the swimming pool. If you are looking to rest during your holidays and you enjoy of outside living during your holidays, do not hesitate to choose Casa Milena, it is a lovely place to stay.

It's the second time that we spent our holidays in Casa Milena and it's a very house and with swimming pool with a very good quality vs price. The owners are lovely and helpful and try to find always a solution. Some customer will probarly claim about the wifi reception wifi it's very bad but holidays without internet or sms or call are some times good holidays and when you go out of the place you have plenty opportunities to catch back your mails and missing calls,... . So enjoy holidays as simple as it is. The kitchen is very good equiped. So Enjoy very beautifull holiday in a breathtaking environment because take time to take a look of the beautiful green around the house. Please pay attention for the mugs but it's every where in Italy in July and August.

Very good if you are looking for holidays: - in a quiet area on a closed road with nearly no traffic, while being not far from main shopping centers and motorway - large private garden, fully fenced, so ideal if you travel with your, even large, dog. - friendly owner, respectful of the privacy The building is a refurbished mill, so the old and thick stone walls help well in summer, to keep the heat out. However, the nice sleeping rooms, upstairs, are very warm in summer time and the owner should consider improving the roof thermic insulation. Furniture, indoor/outdoor, is basic, with potential for functional and esthetic enhancements. Note: if you travel with a dog, apart the large and nice garden, there are no forest paths directly accessible from the house, except access to a small river. Tarmac roads can be, in summer, too hot to walk on, without damaging the dog´s paws, so you would need to travel a bit by car.

Wir haben eine Woche Urlaub mit drei Erwachsenen, drei Kindern und Hund in dieser wunderbaren Unterkunft genossen. Der Vermieter Paolo hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft schön inmitten eines idyllischen Waldes mit einem kleinen Bach und Wasserfall in unmittelbarer Nähe, an dem Kinder wunderbar spielen können. Das Grundstück ist sehr liebevoll und terrassenförmig angelegt. Kleine Nieschen laden zum Entspannen ein. Die Anfahrt zum Haus erfolgt abwärts über einen steilen asphaltierten Weg, an die man sich nach kurzer Zeit gewöhnt. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, gut ausgestattet, funktional und bot uns viel Platz. Der Pool ist angenehm groß und lädt zum Schwimmen und Toben ein. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und es war im April relativ kalt. Sehr zuvorkommender und freundlicher Vermieter: Paolo hat den Pool für unsere Jungs schon auf gemacht, was wirklich eine tolle Geste war. Auch unsere Hunde waren willkommen und wir hatten ein sicheres Gefühl, sie im eingezäunten Garten toben zu lassen. Das Haus selbst ist einfach eingerichtet. Geschirrtücher und Seife waren nicht da, aber das kann man ja mitbringen oder vor Ort besorgen. Der Kamin und der Grill haben wunderbar funktioniert. Auch die Gasheizung (Extrakosten beachten!) war super, es wurde schnell warm und gemütlich. Der Garten ist gepflegt. Die Nachbarn waren ziemlich laut, denn sie haben Ostern gefeiert, was ja total legitim ist. Sie sind nicht immer da. Im Sommer finden scheinbar früh morgens schon Holzarbeiten statt, haben wir dem Gästebuch entnommen. Also nichts für Langschläfer. Aber man will ja schließlich was unternehmen. Wir haben viele Orte in der Gegend besucht. Direkt vor Ort ist es sehr ländlich und nicht touristisch, man muss etwas fahren, um die Attraktionen zu besuchen. Die Toskana ist wunderschön.

Wir hatten zwei wundervolle Wochen im Haus Milena. Unsere zwei Hunden haben sich sehr auf dem grossen schonen Grundstuck wohl gefuhlt . Zum erfrischen gingen wir mit ihnen zum Bach hinter dem Haus. Fur alle anderen war der Pool das absolute highlight. Vom Haus aus kann man tolle staedte erkunden. Besonders Lucca, Florenz haben uns begeistert.

We had an unforgettable stay at Casa Milena. The house is spacious and offers all the comforts you need for a great vacation. The swimming pool is beautiful as well. In the kitchen you will find everything you need to prepare good meals. You have just to know that the toilets are located upstairs and therefore are not suitable for people with reduced mobility or elderly people who have difficulty climbing the stairs several times during the day, even if the stairs are very wide and easy to access. The garden is very spacious. The advantage of the location of the house is that it is quietly isolated in the hills. Apart from the direct neighbor, you no longer have a neighbor for 300 to 500 m. So the place is very peaceful. Its exceptional location offers you a breathtaking view The owner is an extraordinarily kind person, always ready to help or tell you a little story about the house or the nearby town. He will advise you on excellent restaurants or activities to do. We are not ready to forget this wonderful vacation and we will return one day.

Una settimana di riposo, accanto a tutto (Pisa, Lucca, Firenze e Montecatini Terme). Abbiamo trascorso una bella settimana di vacanza a Casa Milena, tutto era pulito e funzionale. Le giornate sono calde e la piscina ci rinfresca, le notti sono fresche e si dorme bene. Paolo e sua moglie sono disponibili e molto discreti, il loro olio d'oliva è eccellente. Tutta la famiglia ha apprezzato il nostro soggiorno e abbiamo terminato la nostra vacanza tutti insieme in Friuli (Paolo capirà).

Une semaine de repos, à côté de tout (Pisa, Lucca, Firenze et Montecatini Terme).

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine de vacances à Casa Milena, tout était propre et fonctionnel. Les journées sont chaudes et la piscine nous rafraichit, les nuits sont fraîches et on dort bien. Paolo et son épouse sont disponibles et très discrets, leur huile d'olive est excellente. Toute la famille a apprécié notre séjour et nous avons terminé nos vacances tous ensemble au Friûl (Paolo comprendra).

In den Tagen, die wir hier sein durften, war die Casa Milena ein gemütlicher und schöner Ort and den wir nach den spannenden und interesanten Ausflugen immer wieder gerne zurückgekommen sind.
