Porthia is a large and stylish house in Carbis Bay which has 3 bedrooms and has ocean views from the first floor. It sleeps 5 in a king size bedroom with en-suite shower, a double bedroom and a small double (4ft bed) bedroom. There is a wonderful family bathroom with large shower, WC and wash basin and a downstairs cloakroom with WC and wash basin.

The kitchen is very well-equipped to self-cater for a family of 5 easily. The living room and kitchen with dining is super comfortable with plenty of soft seating and a wood burner to create cosy evenings in. The tri-fold doors open up to a decked area and garden with outdoor seating and small stream leading to a footpath to the beach.

Carbis Bay beach is a 15 minute walk away down a footpath that leads directly down to the beach. Carbis Bay train station is a 10 minute walk away and it takes you regularly into St Ives along a very picturesque route. The trip into St Ives is just 5 minutes.

There is free WiFi throughout the house.

There is private parking in a garage (dimensions are 210cm high, 540cm deep and 230cm wide)

Schönes mit leichten Mängeln

Insgesamt war es bei bestem Sommerwetter ein schöner Aufenthalt in Porthia. Das Objekt aufzufinden ist schwierig, die Abfahrtsbeschreibung könnte man viel einfacher gestalten. Die 2 kleineren Schlafräume sind sehr spartanisch eingerichtet, es gibt keine Schränke. Küche und Wohnzimmer sind prima, die grosse Terrasse auch, allerdings gelangt kaum ein Sonnenstrahl dorthin, weil extrem hohe Bäume davor stehen . Bushaltestelle ist in der Nähe, in Richtung St.Ives unbedingt empfehlenswert. Für lärmempfindliche Menschen ist wegen der Nähe zur einer stärker befahrenen Strasse in den kleineren Schlafzimmern die Nachtruhe nicht ungestört. Das Objekt war bei Ankunft sauber und gepflegt.

Superb Carbis Bay family holiday

From start to finish this property was fabulous. Once booked the information available to us on the app was great. Everything we needed was included on the app - WiFi code, essential for teenagers on holiday, parking, entry to the house, etc was all there. The advertised information was accurate and the house was clean and well positioned. Loved the open plan of the house, the bi folds which opened up the lounge onto the decking. Lots of kitchen equipment so didn't need to bring anything apart from food. Will definitely use orange roofs again.

Lovely house with great views and very convenient for Carbis beach and regular buses to St Ives Comfortable and well equipped Only downside was smoke alarm in the kitchen possibly situated too near the grill/oven so on the couple of occasions used went off consistently during cooking which was a bit irritating

Nice clean modern property.

Over all we enjoyed our stay. The following things you need to consider. We weren't allowed to access the property till 6pm and check out was 9am due to COVID. In the master bedroom there's no toilet in the en-suite. The drive way is very steep and the property doesn't have a number (difficult if you want to book a taxi). For the price of the property they could at least deal with the bins for collections. Other than that it was comfortable and clean.

A beautifully luxurious house making it a perfect holiday retreat.

Wow!!! What a beautiful, modern house with everything you could possibly need for a totally luxurious holiday. It was very clean and finished to an exceptional standard including all top of the range appliances and equipment. The finishing touches were lovely with beautiful free standing lamps, crisp white linen and a welcome pack including tea, coffee and some delicious Cornish biscuits. We would definitely come back here for another perfect family holiday. Thank you.
