Our experience with Jaymin was awesome! They were super communicative, and really responsive to a last-minute request for a little Christmas tree for our rental! The shower is temperamental, and the walls are pretty thin, but for the price you really can't get better in such an incredibly cool neighborhood. Also, as a heads up, the stairs can be pretty intense if your knees aren't great - we had no problem with it but have friends who couldn't have done them every day.
It is a sad state of affairs when £95 a night in London gets you a room with a curtain that doesn't fit the window...The mattress was appealing and the fixtures tired and run down.
It is in a good area for nightlife and restaurants but if you are looking for any sort of comfort and sleep I would recommend you try elsewhere.
The bedsit is in a great part of London with easy access to the tube.
The pictures advertising it need to be removed and retaken as they are very misleading.
They are of a similar but different flat which is in far better condition and has a much bigger bathroom (in fact the website shows 2 different bathrooms, none of which are in this flat)
The bedroom / lounge sash windows do not close properly (1 broken sash cord, 1 metal seal bent over). This is a real pain as the street is lively and impacted ability to sleep (especially when someone was vomiting in the doorway opposite in the early hours!).
The entrance to the property is a little disconcerting with large amounts of graffiti around the door and first floor.
Overall a good part of London to visit but not the bedsit in the advert.
We spent one night here and it was just fine for a quick stay. Very clean, and when VRBO really screwed us over (their website was down all day and we couldn't access the check-in instructions) the host went above and beyond to communicate with us and help us get in. VRBO really left us in the dust and the host saved our butts! The place is clean and safe. Lots of stairs, so be prepared to carry your luggage. Felt safe and welcomed.
