Lovely rural retreat amongst olive & almond trees
We had a very relaxing break at Villa Caramel. Perfect for complete relaxation with no neighbouring houses and a view over the olive and almond groves. The only person we regularly saw was the goat herder!
The villa itself is really well equiped with everything we needed for our 10 days. We cooked there every night, including on the wood BBQ outside.
Neighbouring Castril had supermarkets with the basics, but we went to Basa for fresh fish etc, although this was 45 mins drive.
We were also able to enjoy the amazing tomatoes, peppers, figs grown in the garden.
Jose was available if we needed him, but we liked the fact that we weren't disturbed with cleaning visits every few days.
We did a couple of walks from the villa, one up to the top of the hill behind the villa, which revealed panomaric views of the reservoir and surrounding mountains. We also walked down to the reservoir one evening when it was a bit cooler.
