I'm happy that you, our excellent VRBO guests, enjoyed our property. Thank you for choosing it. We love that it's close to the East Coast Trail so that you could easily take in the joys of hiking the dramatic coastline. There's much to explore along the Southern Shore and at the end of the day it's nice that you could relax at what we call our Tors Cove Pond Retreat.
Our host Margaret was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond in making our stay the best kind. The property and accommodations have everything you could possibly want. A better home away from home than home itself.
A wonderful wonderful spot to relax and connect with nature. A beautiful home and stunning location. Margaret was very accommodating and made our stay very special. Thank you!

We are a group of 3 couples who stayed at the “cottage” for a week in July. We left each day to hike and tour. It was perfect for us. Wonderful gathering areas inside and out with fully equipped kitchen with everything you could ask for. Margaret was very quick to respond to any questions. Lovely stay.
Very warm and welcoming house on a lake in Tors Cove. Comfortable beds and attractive decor. Good base for hiking, but a car is advisable to get to trails. Wonderful deck for morning coffee amd chilling out. Host very responsive. If you need groceries, pick them up in Bay Bulls before getting to the house, as the closest convenience stores are limited.

Our property was treated exceptionally well by these guests. We so appreciate it when it is treated like “home” by others, which was the case with Meredith and family. We were delighted that they dropped a note on arrival and a few comments along the way. We were happy to know they felt comfortable and loved sitting on the deck looking over the pond. It’s our special view also! We always encourage our renters to contact us with questions or a mention of anything that needs an adjustment or improvement. Meredith mentioned at the end a small plumbing adjustment that was needed, which was an easy fix. We were glad to have it pointed out. Importantly, she mentioned some tips specific for hikers which I’ll add into our description for future hikers of our beautiful East Coast Trail. Future hikers will appreciate some of the upcoming notes inspired by her.
Amazingly well situated and equipped; kind and friendly host
Margaret told us to enjoy the cottage as we would our own, and that generous and welcoming approach made us feel comfortable from the beginning.
It was lovely having such a well-equipped kitchen and so much space. The loft room was amazing for lounging, reading, and watching television as a family. It was kind and unexpected to find empty drawers and closet space. It's such a beautiful place, obviously lovingly and thoughtfully furnished and decorated.
Margaret left bread, milk and butter for us and was always available when I had questions. Communication was excellent.
I think the most important thing to tell others is that we truly felt welcome and at home. Very highly recommended, and hope that we weren't too much trouble! Thank you so much, Margaret, for letting us stay at your beautiful cottage.

Catherine,
It was a delight to have you and your family at our cabin property for your Newfoundland vacation. Thank you for taking the time to send a message with your very lovely comments.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tors Cove Cabin. The cabin felt just like home, with a very well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and lots of personality both inside and out. The location was perfect for exploring the true beauty of Newfoundland and all that it has to offer. The check in process was seamless and the owners were so helpful and friendly to deal with. My 3 year old son accidentally left his favourite stuffie behind, Margaret contacted me straight away when she found it and shipped it back to us in Alberta to make for a very happy little boy. We could not have found a more idyllic or peaceful place to enjoy our holiday. We will definitely stay again if we return to Newfoundland in the future

A Perfect Newfoundland Experience
This lovely cabin is situated just a short distance from St. John's but right on the Irish Loop Highway. You couldn't be in a better location for driving the loop (a must), yet in a tranquil and secluded lakeside setting. The cabin has all the amenities you could desire and was comfortable and cozy for our group of 5 adults. We had a nice fire every evening and our coffee on the deck over-looking the lake every morning before setting off to explore. The cabin is very close to some of the nicest bays and best whale and puffin watching excursions. The hosts - Margaret and Ralph - were gracious and extremely helpful as this was our first ever trip to Newfoundland. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and give us a true Newfoundland welcome. We will come back again to stay.

It was a delight to share our property with your wonderful family. It was a pleasure to have met ypu. We are so happy that you were able to experience a part of our province that is so special to us. The fact that you could be tourists on the Irish Loop by day and have our cabin as a cosy place to come "home to" makes us feel comfortable about renting our property.
Thank you for treating it like your own home. Hope you can visit our province again.
