Lovely relaxing log cabin

We had a lovely time in Connie Cottage. The location was great, peaceful despite being near lots of other cabins and the kids loved playing in the woods. We spent lots of time relaxing in and around the cabin but also went to Mablethorpe (beach and seal sanctuary), the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, Louth leisure centre (good pool for little ones), Tattershall castle and to Hull to visit the Deep - all easily accessible from the cabin. The cabin itself was warm and a perfect size for us. It was very well equipped and there was lots of hot water. It was quite basic, but had everything we needed and we would definitely go back. Emily was very responsive in advance too. All in all an excellent stay.

Relaxing Stay

We absolutely loved Connie Cottage. Its location is perfect with open space in front of it and walking trails close by. It was incredibly peaceful - we loved sitting out on the veranda, regardless of the weather. The layout of the cabin works great and it had everything we needed. The area is wonderful - lots to do - we enjoys walks to a local pub (the Splash), visiting Louth, Hubbards Hills and so much more. We will definitely be back.

Louth lodge cabin

Really enjoyed the stay was fantastic. The log cabin itself could do with a really good deep/spring clean. Other than that really good location. We recommend.

Woodland getaway

Traditional, log cabin, dark wood interior, nestled deep into the woods. Lack of facilities and amenities suited us, we just needed a quiet base to explore the area and spend time with friends. It’s not as modern and airy as the new style ones on most sites, which actually are usually cladded caravans , this is a proper wooden lodge, so a bit darker and less natural light, with quite dated bathrooms. But.....we had a great time and would book again.

August 2019

This property has one of the best locations on Kenwick Park - having open spaces opposite where our children enjoyed playing safely within sight of the decking around the cabin. The cabin was very clean and the wine on arrival was a kind thought - thanks.

Wonderful

So impressed with cabin, it was well equipped and spotless. The outside space was lovely although attention required on cleaning, table and chairs unusable as obviously not cleaned this year ! Would still book again as the whole experience was peaceful and special.

Lovely lodge in a quiet location. Great base for surrounding areas

Lodge was lovely and clean and spacious. Located in a pretty wood with outdoor space for kids to play. Walkable pub nearby and seasides easily drivable. Also close to Louth centre and Hubbard’s hills. Lodge was equipped with everything we needed and the decking area outside was very nice. We had a great time would recommend and we will be back.

I am a Primary School teacher. I have two children and we regularly enjoy holidays together in Poppy Lodge and our 'sister' property, Connie Cottage.

Why they chose this property

This is a great locations for those seeking a bit of peace and quiet.
Ideal for:
- golfers-the golf course and golf club have a very good reputation.
-bird watchers and nature lovers. The woodland setting provides a habitat for pheasants, woodpeckers and deer. Further afield there are great nature reserve beaches for seabirds and seals.
-great for families-beaches with funfairs and donkey rides. Safe paddling pool areas and plenty of amusement areas for children.

What makes this property unique

A relaxing location within easy reach of all the amenities you may need.

Louth has many independent shops, restaurants and tea rooms. A beautiful, historic church, weekly market, a cinema and really good leisure centre.
