Arc 1950, Luxury, quiet corner, overlooks pistes, pedestrianised village
Arc 1950 is a beautiful pedestrianised village with underground car parking and direct, ski in ski out, access to the wonderful Paradiski ski area; one of the largest linked ski areas in the world. It has 425km of pistes shared between Les Arcs and La Plagne and joined by the astonishing double decker cable car, the Vanoise Express.
Sources de Marie is at the quieter end of the village. 341 is a SW facing, spacious (57m2), apartment which has peaceful views of the Transarc mountains and the vallee de L’Arcs piste. It has a very large corner balcony – less useful in winter, though I have had breakfast on it in December, but particularly beautiful in spring and summer, getting the afternoon sun, with a table that seats six comfortably. It is at the end of the building, so there is no passing footfall outside the apartment.
The apartment accommodates up to six in a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living area. There is plenty of storage available for guests. The apartment has its own WiFi rather than relying on the village wide WiFi. The living area has an extendable dining table which seats six comfortably and a 40” smart TV (Netflix compatible) and don’t forget your favourite DVDs as we also provide a DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen has a 4-ring convection hob, oven, microwave, toaster, filter coffee machine, Nespresso machine, kettle, dishwasher and a fridge freezer. We are keen cooks and there is a large enough selection of pans, frying pans, crockery, glasses etc to cook meals from scratch. The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom which has a bath with a shower over it and an extendable drying line. There is also a hair dryer and shaver point. Across the corridor from the twin room are a shower room (hair dryer and shaver point) and a separate loo, allowing guests on the double sofa bed access without disturbing the twin room. The apartment is close to one of the laundries in Sources de Marie.
Sources de Marie has direct internal access to the Deep Nature Spa with its treatment rooms, hammam and indoor swimming pool. Note: Sources de Marie also has its own free hammam and fitness room, as well as free entry to the swimming pool in Auberge Jerome.
Source de Marie is ski in, ski out – as all the residences in 1950 are.

The apartment was perfect for my wife and 2 adult sons plus our small dog. Really liked the layout with en-suite bedrooms either side of the large common lounge and dining area. Kitchen is small and lacks a dishwasher but was ok for us as we ate out most nights. Modern smart TV and good internet. Large sunny outside balcony area. Great ski in ski out location in traffic free Arc1950. Ski locker area is tight but ok if you avoid the busiest times. Jay was an excellent host, very responsive to questions and provided lots of information on the accommodation and things to do.

Many thanks, Andrew. We were delighted to host your skiing holiday this year and would be equally delighted to do so again in the future. One point to clarify, however: we do have a full sized dishwasher directly under the job in the kitchen. As we have discussed since, I don’t quite know how you managed to miss it! Too much eating out in the excellent restaurants in the village, perhaps! Best wishes. Jay
One other point by way of additional information: the ski locker room is due to be refurbished this autumn with a third room being added, so there should be more room in the future!😉
had a lovely family stay, the flat was clean, well organized and comfy. Arc 1950 was perfect for our needs and the flat itself is close to everything which helped a lot our daily logistic. The host was always available to help and gave great advices. Thank you ! Would be very happy to come back in the future.
This is our 3rd stay in 1950 and the first time we used this apartment. My family joined for the first week of our stay and the space easily accommodated the 5 of us. Jay was very responsive and kept us well-informed on the cleaning and support services visits. The apartment certainly has the sunniest balcony and we were able to sit out most of the day.
A good sized 2BR/2BA flat in the quieter end of Arc 1950 (still only metres from the main promenade). Good sized ski locker, plenty of mains outlets, spacious sitting area, fully equipped kitchen. Linens included. Friendly receptionists. Owner has a very good welcome note will all manner of tips for the area. Recommended!
Accommodation in some apartments can be a little tight on space. We decided a 2 bed/ 2 bath apartment would be more comfortable for the two of us.
It worked well.
Great location as usual. Easy ski in and ski out
Had a couple of minor queries which were sorted asap by Manager
Cheers
After some great and very helpfull contact with Jonathan (the owner) we still were surprised by the beautifull place we called home for a week. All the things that make life easy (Nespresso! Netflix! Bathrobes!) were provided. Everything is just a bit nicer than your ordinary French ski-appartment. The outdoor swimming pool was a instant hit with our kids. The location in Arc1950 is superb; ski- in ski out and a large sunny balcony to enjoy lunch after a hard ski in the morning! Highly recommended; we will definitly return here!

Olaf and his family were great guests and we were delighted to welcome them to our apartment. We particularly enjoyed the photos he shared with us of the whole family on their holiday.
I have been going to Les Arcs 1950 for 10 years and stayed in many apartments there. This apartment is laid out in what is in my opinion the best design for the Les Arcs apartments. The central room contains the kitchenette, dining table and lounge area. Each bed room is off to one side, the double room on left, the twin on right both with separate toilet/bath/shower rooms. This means there is privacy plus peace and quiet between bedrooms, as I was staying with teenagers this was a good thing.
Could not fault this apartment in terms of cleanliness and equipment. The chaise sofa by the window overlooking the lifts and mountain was a particularly favourite spot to relax at the end of a busy day on the slopes.
The owners were very communicative and ensured I had all the necessary information and booking forms for a smooth check in.

Thank you, Frederic! We’re delighted you had a great stay. If you ever want another stay in the Alps, please get in touch. All the very best. Jay (Jonathan)
Ideally located in les Arcs 1950 and within Sources de Marie residency. Apt is very confortable for 4 people, fully equiped. Very clean. It has a large terrace which should be very convenient during summer stay.
Only thing is residency has a small reception desk and it is very crowded during school holidays on arrival.

Thanks, Nicolas. We’re delighted that you enjoyed the apartment. The South West facing balcony is fantastic in summer. Unfortunately, at February half term all the receptions (in the Alps!) get very busy, and check in at peak times on those days can require patience. Best wishes. Jonathan
Hi - we have skied in Les Arcs for over 15 years now. It has a special place in all our hearts, winter or summer. In fact, we're not sure which season we prefer.
Our kids have grown up learning to ski here - in fact we bought this apartment to allow for them getting larger! We hope you enjoy the magic of the Alps in 341 Sources de Marie as much as we have done over the years.
Why they chose this property
Arc 1950 is a beautiful, pedestrianised village, paradoxically, set at 2000m altitude. It sits within Paradiski, one of the biggest ski areas in the world. Sources de Marie is at the quieter end of the village away from the hubbub of the main village square with it's bars, restaurants and clubs. The apartment has a great view over the mountains and a huge corner balcony facing SW; ideal for a cold beer or glass of wine with the last of the sun spring, or, breakfast, supper and sunbathing in summer.
What makes this property unique
Quiet. At the end of the building with no passing footfall. A huge SW facing corner balcony overlooking the pistes and the mountains. In spring, an afternoon beer or glass of wine is perfect; in summer, breakfast, supper and sunbathing are all perfect on the balcony. Close (both internal and external access available) to the "Deep Nature Spa" with its treatment rooms, saunas and indoor swimming pool. Underground parking (paid separately) available.
