About this property

A beautiful French farmhouse with heated swimming pool and stunning views

'Maison Hugo' is located in the heart of the Aveyron, South-West France, in one of the most beautiful settings you will find and is perfectly positioned to explore this rich area.

The house is light and spacious, with 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and has been renovated to a high standard.

Maison Hugo benefits from a fantastic outdoor area, with a large decked terrace with amazing countryside views. The terrace is accessed from the kitchen making it the perfect place for outdoor dining. There is also a gas barbecue for your use.

The swimming pool is nestled into the hillside of the garden and is the ultimate 'get away from it all' spot. Relaxation guaranteed. The pool area is secure with a lockable gate.

It is just a short 5 minute walk into the pretty village of Lunac, with its church and chateau set around a village square. For all your provisions, the nearest supermarket, and boulangerie, is at La Fouillade, a 10 minute drive.

We are incredibly lucky to be just 15 minutes away from Najac, a 'beaux' village and the jewel of the area, with its magnificent medieval chateau, restaurants and tourist events throughout the summer. Including the evening food market every Wednesday throughout the summer.

Slightly further, there is the hilltop town of Cordes-sur-Ciel, which was recently voted Frances favourite town. Then there is the beautiful town of Saint Antonin Noble Val, next to the river Aveyron. The large town of Villefranche-de-Rouergue (20 minutes), a 'Bastide Royale', hosts the unmissable Thursday market, one of the largest in France and is bursting with local produce.

Should you be looking for adrenaline fuelled activities during your stay then we can provide details of what is on offer in the local area, including kayaking, horse-riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, or 'go ape' style tree climbing.

Lots of information is provided at the house to help you make the most of your stay, and our property manager, Delphine, is available should you need any information or assistance. Delphine speaks both English and French. The rental includes towels and bed linen, and also the end of stay cleaning.

Famille en france

The house was excellent and ideal for us. The lack of a local shop/boulangerie and the limited walking options in the immediate area meant more driving than we’d hoped. However we made some great excursions especially to Rodez and the Avergon valley.

A great house with everything you need for a relaxing stay

The property is set on the outskirts of a beautiful small village. The village has few amenities but the location is stunning, with beautiful views. The house itself is lovely and has everything you need. The lounge is very spacious and comfortable, but with the weather we had we didn’t use it at all. The kitchen is spacious and has everything. The bedrooms are lovely and thankfully there was a fan in each, which was so welcome due to the high temperatures. Bathrooms are beautiful and seemingly newly renovated. What makes the house is the outside space and pool - simply beautiful. Amazing views of the countryside, and the pool area was perfect to spend lazy days. We visited Padirac caves (a long drive but worth is), we kayaked along the Averyron river from Saint Antonin to La Sole, we visited Cordes sur Ciel and Najac. I would highly recommend this property. Although it maybe a little isolated for some, the peace and quiet it offers was exactly what we were looking for. Correspondence with the owner, Fiona, was excellent - swift and responsive.

Coin tranquille et oxygénant

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cette maison, calme et spacieuse. Le grand plus de la maison est cette piscine chauffée à l’énergie solaire qui a permis aux enfants d’en profiter pleinement malgré les températures aléatoires du mois de juillet. L’emplacement est également très sympa à deux pas de Lunac (on recommande le mini-golf de la Source très accueillant et la visite de Najac et sa forteresse). Fiona, bien que n’étant pas surplace, était sympathique et avenante (même si notre arrivée avait été zappée…) Cependant, on sent néanmoins que les propriétaires ne sont pas sur place car tout a besoin d’un peu d’entretien courant « étant donné le prix : seulement 7 couteaux pour toute une famille (autant dire que le lave-vaisselle tournait souvent), ampoules grillées que nous avons changées, portes qui grincent que nous avons huilées, barbecue pas nettoyé après les précédents locataires etc… L’herbe n’était pas tondue à notre arrivée mais quelqu’un est venu tondre sans prévenir au milieu du séjour ce qui a rempli la piscine d’herbe coupée… et on sent que Delphine n’est pas toujours très disponible pour dépanner… Il serait plus simple de nous laisser une brosse, un robot à disposition et des consignes pour nettoyer et réguler la température sans que nous soyons obligés de l’appeler à chaque fois…(piscine qui se remplit d’algues sous les fortes chaleurs et devient gluante). Néanmoins, c’est une belle maison, bien située, spacieuse, avec une grande télé…

Ruim en heel comfortabel huis met prachtig uitzicht over heuvelachtige omgeving

We waren hier begin mei en we hadden geluk met prachtig, zonnig weer. Het huis was ruim, van alle gemakken voorzien en de bedden heel comfortabel. Onze jongens hebben zich heerlijk vermaakt in het zwembad! We kwamen vooral voor een rustige vakantie en dat is hier fantastisch gelukt. Toch was ook het fort in Najac, de katharenstad Albi en de Gouffre de Padirac (erg leuke audio-tour voor kinderen, zelfs in het Nederlands) erg leuke activiteiten in de omgeving. Contact met de eigenaar was prettig. En toen we ons zorgen maakten over plots veel bijen bij het huis (achteraf waarschijnlijk door het maaien van de berm bij de weg) was 'local' David in 3 minuten ter plekke! Super service! Kortom: erg genoten en we hebben nu al weer heimwee!

Wonderful week in Lunac

This property was perfect for our family holiday - we had a wonderful week! The house is beautiful and was well equipped with everything we needed, as well as being very comfortable. Fiona was so helpful answering any questions we had and ensuring we had a warm welcome. We had so much fun around the pool and were also in a great location to visit local villages and activities. We really enjoyed swimming and kayaking in the beautiful rivers! Definitely recommend this for a family break.

maison confortable pour des vacances en pleine nature

Avec 3 chambres et 3 salles de bain (quasi neuves), une belle cuisine, un grand salon, une grande terrasse, un barbecue et une grande piscine, cette maison est très confortable. Le seul petit bémol concerne la route devant la propriété, sans visibilité quand on sort et sur laquelle malheureusement les automobilistes (même peu nombreux) circulent très vite. Ce qui ne nous a pas empêché de passer un excellent séjour et de profiter de cette vue reposante sur les collines environnantes.

Une maison idéale dans un site magnifique.

La maison est très spacieuse et lumineuse et bien équipée avec toutes commodités modernes et bien entretenue. Il est agréable de profiter du beau temps et du cadre magnifique sur la terrasse spacieuse. A la piscine bien entretenue il est très agréable de se détendre dans les transats. Les commerces (Boulangerie et Intermarché ) sont à 7 kilomètres et facilement accessibles.La région compte de nombreux sites à visiter. Les propriétaires sont très aimables et répondent immédiatement à toute question.

Une vraie maison de vacances !

Maison charmante et agréable par beau temps ou temps de pluie lorsqu' on a envie de calme et d isolement. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine et de la superbe terrasse avec superbe vue.
