About this property

Our NEW Barn. Unique in Tenerife. Boutique accommodation in a Natural Reserve

This dwelling was inaugurated on November 2017. It is our jewel and we are very proud of it. We prefer to be moderate with pricing so we have full occupancy all year long. This new dwelling is full of character. Until now it was used as a barn to storge wheat, chestnuts and other cereals. It has three rooms, one bathroom and a livingroom integrated with the kitchen. Ceilings are 4 meters high in some parts of the house. It also has a stove. The house was fully refurbished and all beds & appliances are brand new. It faces south (lots of sun) with a private garden in the back and a large garden of more than 1000 sq mts. in the front.

The Barn is a 3 room dwelling (one of the room haslots of toys in case you travel with kids) with full comfort and nordic style. Wifi, Netflix, Satellite Tv, dryer, dishwasher, etc. is included in the price

It is for sure one of the top places to stay in Tenerife.

Perfect families getaway

Carlos property is everything you are looking for, specially if you are travelling with kids. The house is spotless and has everything you could think of. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to cook and grill. There are plenty of toys inside and outside the house in the shed. No time for the kids to get bored. The views are stunning and you can get a daily view of el Teide from the living room. At night there are plenty of stars to look at. Location is spot on. Far enough you feel like you are in the countryside to be able to relax, but really close if you need to get groceries, go to the beach or visit Anaga, La Laguna or Santa Cruz. Overall we had an amazing stay and we will definitely be coming back next summer.

A return visit to this fabulous rural paradise.

We rarely holiday in the same region twice. However, this place is so special, we broke our habit and returned for a second January in northern Tenerife. The stunning, comfortable, converted barn has had finishing touches and more equipment added during the past year. We breakfasted outside most days, overlooking the surrounding garden, with the view of Mount Teide in the distance. It is so peaceful, yet near the World Heritage Town of La Laguna, quiet walks in the Anaga mountains and swimming in the Bajamar sea pools - just 10 minutes' drive away. Santa Cruz is within easy reach too - by car or by regular, reliable, cheap bus/tram. Wonderful weather too! Nothing is too much trouble for brothers Carlos and Jaime, who make great hosts. Very many thanks from the Sheard family

Lovely house in nature, close to hikes, beaches and towns

This is a great place to get away from it all in North Tenerife, with options to visit major attractions in the region. The house is clean and well kept, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Oscar, the host, is very hospitable with no shortage of tips of where to visit. Well worth a stay here.

Die Finca ist sehr gut ausgestattet, besonders die Küche hat alles was man braucht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Da wir im Februar da waren müssten wir mit dem Ofen immer mal etwas heizen abends, was aber sehr gut geklappt hat. Carlos war sehr hilfsbereit und war immer für Fragen erreichbar. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!

Perfect stay in a beautiful, unspoilt part of Tenerife

We spent two weeks in the Old Barn in January. This is a really special place. A newly renovated, comfortable building, set in a stunning location, with views to distant Mount Teide. If you love tranquillity, calm, beautiful landscapes - within easy reach of fabulous World Heritage town La Laguna, amazing walks in Anaga national park and access to wondrous beaches with very few people - this is the one for you!! We loved the outdoor space, with views of the surrounding hills and amazing sunsets - and ate outside most days. Well equipped, the house is scrupulously clean, well designed and we appreciated the added touches - such as mid stay change of bed linen. Although it rained a couple of days, we didn't need to use the log burning stove. There are two properties on the site, but neither overlooks the other, and each is really private. If you want to eat in, the local market at Tegueste is excellent for bread, cheeses, vegetables and fruits - plus the oranges and avocados you may pick from the garden. Lots of great restaurants too - reasonably priced and good menus, especially the fish and local hams. Great for history (La Laguna, La Orotava...), walks (Anaga and closer to home), coastline (especially to the north) , swimming on the Eastern coast and museums, galleries, shopping etc at Santa Cruz. We found most of the interesting places to go and also to eat from the fantastic information supplied by the owner Carlos. He is exceptional and the very best and supportive of hosts. We hope to return and will definitely recommend this property to our family and friends. The Sheard family - from the Isle of Man and Yorkshire, England.
