The apartment is situated in the heart of the village of La Flotte, which was awarded the title of one of the “Plus Beaux Villages de France”. It is on ground floor in a small complex less than half a mile from shops, services and the médiéval market. It is very light and has tiled flooring throughout.

With two bedrooms it can easily accommodate 4 people, but has the possibility of sleeping up to 6 using the sofa-bed (with a Bultex mattress 140*190) in the living-room.

The open plan living-room, west facing, includes a fully equipped kitchen, with 2 zones induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, multi-function oven , mixer, Nespresso, kettle.

Private terrace (11m2), with hedges and including garden furniture and electrical awning.

Hallway includes cupboards, wardrobes and leads to 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds, east-facing.

Bathroom has both bathtub and shower, electric towel rail, hair dryer.
Separate toilets.

Allocated car-parking space.

Shared, heated swimming pool (from end of April to early October), with sunloungers and parasols.


Free wifi internet access.

nous avons grandement apprécié notre séjour d'une semaine dans cet appartement. Leslie fut présente à notre arrivée et à notre départ. Le site comprend 22 apts., une piscine chauffée et un stationnement privé. L'apt. est grand avec 2 chambres, salle de bains moderne, cuisine bien équipée, chambre principale confortable; la terrasse est aussi fort pratique et privée par rapport aux voisins. Le vieux port est non loin, avec ses commerces et restos. Bref, semaine magnifique.

We had stayed in this apartment once before with our children a few years ago and now returned as a couple. It has a good sized parking space, a sunny private terrace and plenty of space inside. There are so many places to eat within a short walk we didn’t bother to cook much though we did need to reserve the earlier in the day or the day before in the evening. We hired bikes for the week but the weather was so warm we also spent a lot of time by the pool . Everything was perfect !

Great place to stay, beware transit to & from airport

The apartment was impeccable, very small kitchen, but all as described. Lovely pool, only small gripe was we don’t think it’s cleaned every day and saw something that put us off swimming until the overnight clean had been done one night. That being said, it was very hot and there had been a lot of folk having a lovely time cooling off, so it was probably getting above average use. We cycled far and wide every day and it was lovely to come back and relax by the pool, with other friendly residents (some who own properties there). La Jolie Brise is perfectly positioned, with shops and harbour within a few minutes walking distance. There were only two of us, but the apartment, which stayed wonderfully cool, would have been perfect for 4 people with 2 generous size bedrooms. Really the only problem was the airport transfer, there are no buses to the island from the airport, except July and August, it is essential to pre-book your taxi to and from the airport when you book your flight (use local taxis otherwise it could cost £150 +) As we asked the owners, we were disappointed that they couldn’t recommend anyone, but we visited the tourist office and found there are 2 taxi companies in La Flotte - we used Beatrice Taxis to get to the airport, but had to get there 4 hours before our flight as they were fully booked later, you may have to use Google translate if you’re not a French speaker, they accept bookings by text, and confirm by text. Bothering to do this as it took us 3 hours to get to La Flotte by taking the bus into La Rochelle and getting the bus for La Flotte at the bus station. The return journey saw us at the airport 4 hours before our flight because all the taxis were fully booked. Hope this will be helpful, it is a fabulous place to go if you enjoy low key relaxing holidays, immersed in nature and beautifully unspoilt villages.

Très bon séjour à la Flotte

Appartement fonctionnel et tres bien placé à La Flotte, conforme à l 'annonce du site Abritel. Le seul bémol concerne les extras en supplément qui sont peu satisfaisant: linge de lit non conforme à la taille de la literie tant pour les draps que les taies d'oreiller. Concernant le ménage, nous avons du vider le congélateur car cela n' avait pas été fait et nous avons dénombré pas mal d'araignées au plafond. Malgré tout, cela n a pas gâché notre séjour sur l'île de Ré. A savoir: le réseau 4G ne passe pas à la Flotte !
