This is such a special place to stay - light, airy, full of character and with its own small nature
This is such a special place to stay - light, airy, full of character and with its own small nature reserve. It's great for getting around Suffolk, being near the A12, but very tranquil and quiet. One of the nicest places we've ever stayed, and our dog loved it too. Some people note that the bed is a bit on the narrow side, and this is true, but it was very comfortable. The Poacher's Pocket pub, which is about five minutes walk away, or 1 minute in the car, does good food and beer, is very friendly and welcoming, and is also dog friendly. All in all this was a really fantastic polace to stay and we had a great week's break there.

Good location for exploring Suffolk coastline and inland.
Good location for exploring Suffolk coastline and inland. Well equipped cottage with excellent shower room and kitchen facilities. Shabby chic furniture in large lounge with log burner. The double bed does feel “small†and in need of upgrading to something larger.

This is a great hidden-away little gem, ideal for exploring the local surrounds and costal area.
This is a great hidden-away little gem, ideal for exploring the local surrounds and costal area. Beaches very near and great access to cultural places too. The house and garden are lovely and the owner was bvery friendly. We enjoyed the on site woodland walks and the cottage was spacious, cosy, full of light and clean to perfection. Our only issue would be the size of the bed - although a 'double-bed' it seemed very small. For those 6ft or over it might marr what in every other respect is a great place. I would probably need to know the bed was larger to revisit. But thank you for a lovely week.

My wife and I along with two dogs have just spent a great week at the Coach House. The coach House was very comfortable and clean with plenty of space. We wanted for nothing. Right outside of the door there was about one and a half acres (I did not measure it) of wooded area and walkways with plenty of space for our two dogs (Rough Collies) to explore and run around. There are plenty of places to visit with dog friendly beaches nearby (depending on the time of the year). The owner, Mr Kennedy was a very polite and pleasant gentleman and was on hand if you needed any help.I know that it is each to their own but we enjoyed it so much that we are going to book up again for next year.

Had such a lovely relaxing weekend at The Coach House.
Had such a lovely relaxing weekend at The Coach House. Everything was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and so comfortable. The weather was horrible, which made the log fire in the evenings more welcoming and the 2 acre woods right next to the property was perfect for the dogs. Will definitely be returning.

beautiful location in touch with all the local areas, villages, country walking and beaches.
beautiful location in touch with all the local areas, villages, country walking and beaches. The Coach House conversion was superb and within the grounds and main house. It offered a fantastic living space for 2 people and our 2 dogs and we felt very much at home during our stay. The amenities were pared down due to Covid but it was superbly furnished anyway so we had all that was needed and more and loved it. Our only concern was the openness of the immediate garden to the road which, while generally quiet leads from the A12 and the dogs would not know where the perimeters were and there was no gate; so head torches and leads were the order of end of day before bedtime or when sitting out to catch sight of the bats in early evening. A small surrounding fence and a gate would make this place even more superb for dog owner visitors. We loved it anyway!

This was a nice, big property with lots of space for us and our two dogs. Lots of quirky objects of interest in the lode. We used the two acre walk every morning but couldn’t sit out with the dogs as there was a busy road at the end of the drive( our fault we should have checked.)
It would have been useful to have known that due to COVID check in was later and check out was 9am, this was a bit of a rushed start to the day.

Such a lovely cottage.
Such a lovely cottage. Really comfortable and spotlessly clean. A great location to use as a base.
Due to the Covid restrictions, a lot of items had to be removed, but it didn’t impinge on our visit or comfort too much.
I would definitely return and will be recommending it to friends and family

Beautiful cottage, very tastefully and appropriately furnished and decorated.
Beautiful cottage, very tastefully and appropriately furnished and decorated. Cosy, relaxing and welcoming. Great cooking on the hob, and the oven too. Considering that it's doggy friendly, could really do with a tumble dryer - we went in August, but I'd imagine that outside of summer months, you'd really need a tumble dryer to get clothes and towels dry. Beautiful grounds as well, but not safe to leave your dog outside unattended, as the end of the drive leads onto a narrow but very busy road. Really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend, we're hoping to revisit it again in the not too distant future. Lovely owners, very friendly and helpful.

The Coach House is an attractive barn conversion, well-designed and well carried out. It is warm, comfortable and well-equipped (short of nothing). The woodland and grounds are a bonus. We really enjoyed our week there and there is so much to see and do in the area. We would be happy to visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at the Coach House, this was helped though by the lovely weather. As other reviews have stated there could be a few minor changes to make this house fantastic: a king size bed, a better sofa, a shaver plug or at least an adaptor to charge, outside washing line (there is a line attached to the wall but noting to attach to it) and of course better Wifi - this may not appeal to most who want to 'get away from it all' but we would have found it so useful on plotting days out/dog walks & local pubs etc
Although some of the above information was supplied in the house some of it was out of date.
The house is dog friendly although there is no enclosed area as such and our dog did have a habit of wandering over Ian's lawn in search of his cat.
Overall a great week of relaxation in a fabulous conversion with well proportioned rooms, there is plenty of room for 4 if there had been another bedroom or bed settee for occasional use. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending to others.

The Coach House is beautifully appointed and set within very attractive grounds.
The Coach House is beautifully appointed and set within very attractive grounds. The owner Ian lives in the main house and is a charming and helpful host. Our only minor criticism would be that the bed is only a small double despite the bedroom being of excellent proportions. Wi-fi and mobile connectivity is seemingly extremely poor in this part of England and therefore the cottage is ideal for an 'away-from-it-all' escape.

I loved it and we hope to go back. So comfortable and relaxing, very well equipped. However I didn't realise we would be situated so near the owners' property; although they were charming and very helpful. It was also inconvenient not having an enclosed area to sit outside with the dog.
