Beach Walk Cottage is tucked away in a quiet corner, yet only a short stroll from the North Bay and the wonderful long promenade. It is a semi-detached holiday property, situated just north of Scarborough yet within easy walking distance of the town centre and beaches. With Beach Walk Cottage being in the corner, you have a very secluded private garden completely enclosed making it ideal for those of you with a pet. There is a lawned garden and a patio with seating area, which is a real suntrap. There are plenty of shops and restaurants near to the house but you also have a large choice in Scarborough centre. The North Cliff Golf Course is just around the corner. The homeward run has fantastic sea views across the North Bay towards the castle.
A short stroll and you are at Peasholm Park, with its beautiful gardens and lakes where you can hire boats or pedaloes. During the summer months they also do a spectacular display of battleships at war. The Battle of Peasholm has been played out to many families for over 80 years and it is great entertainment for the kids. Europe’s largest outdoor theatre is next to the park where international acts perform throughout the summer months.
Beach Walk Cottage is an ideal base to see what the east coast and North Yorkshire have to offer, as it is perfectly placed for visits to Whitby, the North York Moors, Filey, Flamborough and the Bempton RSPB reserve where you can see puffins. North Yorkshire is famous for its stately homes, and Sledmere Hall, Burton Agnes Hall, Sewerby Hall and Castle Howard are all within a short drive. The Cleveland Way passes this coastline and you are a couple of minutes from the trail. There are fantastic clifftop walks along the rugged coastline with lots of little coves to explore, and golf nearby. If you wish to travel further afield, the city of York is a must - one of England’s finest and most beautiful cities, and Hull - voted the city of culture for 2017.
