Had a great last minute break away at the Woodshed with our elderly Daisy Dog, and it was perfect. All one level, ( for Daisy) and very cosy, especially with the log burner going!Great walks locally and we had a lovely coffee at the Lantern in Walberswick, and recommend the attached gift shops too!

A lovely little holiday cottage.
A lovely little holiday cottage. Perfectly set up.We had stayed here before, a few years ago and it has had some updating. We had a cosy long weekend stay during Storm Bert. It was lovely to cosy up in front of the log burner. The only down side was the double bed was uncomfortable. It was very soft (which might suit some people) but also dipped in the middle. It gave me terrible back ache but once back in my own bed this has resolved itself.Apart from that 10/10.

Our first holiday since lockdown so a very welcome break.
Our first holiday since lockdown so a very welcome break. Loved the location, so close to all our favourite beaches and the walking was fantastic. Bakery a welcome find, as was the apple tree across the way. Also enjoyed the games room, which we had all to ourselves and used most evenings. Having the wood burner was very welcome but it got so hot! Appreciated having beautiful candles, a dishwasher and lots of DVDs. Covid obviously makes life difficult for owners and guests alike but you just have to get on with it.......

We had booked this cottage for a week but a family funeral, illness and other life events meant that our stay was much shorter. We were so disappointed. The cottage is lovely in every respect. The only "improvement" I could recommend is that the sofa moved around too easily on the wooden floor which I discovered when I bumped into it accidentally and slightly lost my balance. Perhaps some castors?
This was a tranquil break in a beautifully furnished and decorated cottage with unspoilt views across the countryside and was ideal for my year old mother due to being on one level and having an accessible bathroom.
I'm hoping to come back and spend longer here in the future.

We had a nice break, yes it is remote and hard to find.Would it be possible to have a small sign down by the crossroads to direct people ..?
It is expensive too, even for a midweek break.

Fantastic cottage.
Fantastic cottage. Absolutely beautiful. A little rural if you want to be near a village or town. You have to drive to get anywhere. Peace and tranquility is perfect. The owners lovely people. All in all I enjoyed my stay.. No sirens or racing cars. You can leave your car and doors unlocked. Beautiful and peaceful.

The Wood Shed has everything to make for a comfortable stay.
The Wood Shed has everything to make for a comfortable stay. Low key but everything has been considered and provided. The games room and DVD collection really helped the family relax. Lovely open view. Walk and cycle from the door. Wonderful wildlife on your doorstep- naturally a little bit isolated but very peaceful-certainly realised how peaceful when we got home.

The Wood Shed is extremely comfortable and well furnished.
The Wood Shed is extremely comfortable and well furnished. The coastal towns and villages of Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich and Aldeburgh are within easy driving distance from the property and many of the pubs and cafes are dog friendly. There is a games room with a large variety of table games, jigsaws and books etc. which would be very handy for families, particularly on wet days.
The walk in shower in the en-suite double bedroom is very slippery and could do with a non slip bath mat and grab handle fitting, particularly for elderly guests.
All in all, a very enjoyable holiday and well recommended.
