Initial basket of logs and bucket of coal for open fire included.. Patio and garden with garden furniture and BBQ. Private parking. Please note: No children. This property has a private water supply.. Enjoying a peaceful location with extensive moorland views this charming 17th-century cottage forms part of an old Yorkshire farmstead. A wealth of original features create a desirable and welcoming country retreat and enjoys views across the moors from the bedroom. Approached along a well maintained one and a quarter mile single track, the natural beauty and magnificent scenery surrounding this cottage make it a truly idyllic setting for a relaxing holiday. The market town of Skipton, the ’Gateway to the Dales’, is nearby as are the villages of Haworth and Oakworth.

We had a great stay in Far View Cottage even though the weather wasn't good for some of the time. Beautiful cottage in stunning location. Tall visitors may struggle in the bathroom with the low ceiling and beam, but it was fine for us. Lovely enclosed garden, which our dog enjoyed. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again. Clean, cosy, lovely decor, well appointed.

Clean, cosy, lovely decor, well appointed. In the middle of October we didn't need the wood-burning stove, and we had to remove the duvet because we found the bed too warm!! Owners were friendly and obliging, they have obviously spent a great deal of time and money - and put a lot of thought into - renovating the place. Nothing at all to criticise about the cottage. The guest book is full of comments from people returning multiple times, or planning to return, which is always a good sign. Very peaceful location, with walks starting from the door, and stunning views. As long as you take all the food you're likely to need for your stay (the nearest supermarket we found was a 15 minute drive), you can park the car and forget it until it's time to return home. If you like self-catering farmhouse holidays, you'll love Far View Cottage.
