Perfect for relaxing after a wonderful day exploring the charming market towns of the borderlands of England and Wales, or walking on the numerous footpaths this lovely area has to offer, Cwm Corn Barn also sits just 4 miles from Newtown. Set on the banks of the River Severn, and boasting a good selection of pubs and restaurants as well as excellent shopping, this historic market town is famous for its arts and music with museums, art galleries and theatre for visitors to enjoy. Close by, the grounds of Gregynog Hall offer year round interest including extensive woodland with waymarked walks and fine trees, rhododendrons and spring bulbs. Gardening enthusiasts and history lovers too will also delight in a visit to Powis Castle, 16 miles, a medieval fortress soaring dramatically above its world famous gardens. Now in the care of the National Trust, the castle houses a superb collection of paintings, sculpture, furniture, tapestries and treasures from India. For keen bird watchers, a trip to the town of Rhayader (20 miles) will be rewarded by the spectacular daily display of the red kite feeding station. Golf, tennis and riding are available nearby. Amazing stay!

I stayed here with my family from which there were 9 of us and two dogs. The place was amazing, spacious and catered for all of us. The hot tub and sheep as neighbours were a highlight for us and offered great views of the rolling hills. Would stay again for sure.

The hot tub is AMAZING and is stunning in the night and anytime of day really! Only thing is, there could be more outdoor lighting. The view was amazing and we were so glad that there was a hot tub which was cleaned everyday. The property had everything we needed and was plenty big enough for 7 adults. Had a wonderful time stopping here over new year. We were a group of 9, 2 families and there was still more than enough room. The outside hot tub was a great addition, (although could do with some outdoor lighting). The owners couldn’t do enough for you, coming round daily to clean the hot tub.
