This spacious detached property is idyllically situated only yards from beautiful Loch Ken, a perfect location to do a spot of coarse fishing. There is garage where you can store your fishing tackle with a dedicated fridge and freezer just for the storage of fishing baits. The loch also offers boat hire, water sports and outdoor centre. Wildlife and birdlife are abundant, with red kites being a regular sighting over the loch. This unspoilt area of south west Scotland offers magnificent scenery, along with some of the finest sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore. There are also many traditional fishing villages and harbour ports that are worth a visit. Kirkcudbright, ’the artists’ town’, has art galleries, antique shops, museums and shops, whilst Castle Douglas, 2 miles, is known as Scotland’s food town. This is an excellent area for walkers and cyclists, with Dalbeattie 7Stanes nearby, and the Galloway Forest Park and Dark Sky Park also easily reached. Golf course 3 miles. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 150 yards.

Lovely, Spotless, Comfortable cottage. Everything we required was provided. Friendly, helpful owners. View across loch, marina in front of cottage. Castle Douglas close for shopping and takeaway meals.
