For a relaxing and romantic holiday, look no further than Bramble Cottage. Situated across the yard from the owner’s home, on a small working farm, this converted detached cow barn offers a contemporary interior oozing with country charm. The kind owners offer a laundry service, and the option for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals can be provided at an additional cost (arranged direct with the owner). Limestone flooring and the natural pink hues of the exposed stonework give a light and airy feel throughout the property. The sleek kitchen and bathroom, both with underfloor heating, and the tastefully decorated bedrooms complete the theme. French doors lead out on to the patio and an unfenced stream passes through the enclosed garden to the rear of the property. Nestled up on the Black Mountain in the Brecon Beacons National Park, this area is a nature lover’s paradise, with footpaths and bridleways giving direct access to the Black Mountain from the farm.

Up above the village of Llanddeusant sits the famous lake known as Llyn y Fan. This beautiful lake is a popular destination for walkers as it boasts spectacular views and a tranquil, peaceful atmosphere. Myths about The Lady of the Lake and the Physicians of Myddfai come from ancient times, and some people believe that the Arthurian legend of the Lady of the Lake and Excalibur stem from here.

If you’re a romantic star gazer then the first International Dark Sky Reserve in Wales, situated in the Brecon Beacons, is perfect for you. On a clear night, you can see the Milky Way, major constellations, bright nebulas and even meteor showers. It’s enough to make anyone starry-eyed.

Less than half an hour’s drive will bring you to the colourful, picturesque town of Llandeilo, scattered with an array of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. It’s a delightful place to spend a few hours. Throughout the year you can watch the graceful red kite swoop down for food provided by the Red Kite Feeding Station also in Llanddeusant.

Whether you want to explore the mountains or potter around the farm with its 20 acres of ancient woodland and river walks, or wander through the pastures where sheep and cattle graze, Bramble Cottage is the perfect place to relax. This property can be booked together with Herdwick Hut (UK40358) to accommodate up to 6 guests. Shop, pub and restaurant 6 miles.

Bramble cottage is so beautiful, its a total sanctuary, so peaceful and quiet with only the sound of the lambs in the feilds and red kites soaring above. Its a lovely well equipped cottage with the most comfortable bed and little treats on arrival. The local area is beautiful and some lovely local places to visit. The hosts are very friendly and amenable and happy to advise and recommend local places to visit. Will definitely look forward to staying again.

Comfortable cottage and very clean.

Comfortable cottage and very clean. Location is remote and you need to be prepared to negotiate a few miles of very narrow single track lanes without many passing places. If you love reversing, this one is for you! Kitchen equipment is adequate if you don't intend to do much in the way of self-catering and the kitchen is also very narrow, which is made worse by the fact that the kitchen is the only route to the downstairs bathroom & toilet. Great for getting very friendly and personal with your family! Plenty to do in the Brecons but most of it is a good hour away by car due to the narrow roads. Good walking closer. Owner lives on site at the small farm and were very friendly and helpful.

Stunning Cottage

An amazing stay in this fabulous cottage on Llwynrhosser Farm. Superb standard of accommodation, lots of attention to detail and extra touches such as fresh free range eggs, homemade Matilda cake, baskets of fruit and goodies and bottled water. Incredibly comfortable beds and superb kitchen. Fabulous garden with beautiful walks near by. To wake up to see horses , sheep, ducks and chickens roaming freely, instantly puts a smile on your face. The owners home cooking is superb and roast dinners and sumptuous afternoon teas available. The area is close to an array of historical castle’s and sits in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Would highly recommend this luxurious property!

Absolutely loved it here, we had an amazing week! The cottage is well equipped and perfect for us as 2 adults and 2 medium dogs. Very clean and comfortable, lovely welcome pack for the dogs, tasty eggs and Welsh cakes for us! Dogs loved the garden and it was secure, great to have the field and farm land to walk on, due to a recent storm part of the fence was down in the field (we were informed of this before arriving) otherwise would have been perfectly secure (was fine for our dogs to be off lead though), and great walks direct from the cottage. Sarah and her husband were both lovely, gave us our space but also happy to make recommendations and help as needed. Would definitely come back, can't recommend it enough for a peaceful getaway with the dogs- we came to avoid fireworks over new year and it was perfect, nice and remote but still had good WiFi and signal!
