La Tournette apartment Les Maisons des Bois

Apartment situated just a few minutes walk away from the ski slopes, hiking and mountain biking routes. All within walking distance are ski hire shops, 2 bars/restaurants, and the Michelin starred Marc Veyrat Maison des Bois restaurant is a stone's throw away. La Clusaz is a short drive away and there is a shuttle bus between La Clusaz and Thones with a bus stop approximately 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

The accommodation is situated on the third floor of the building, and consists of a double bedroom, small bedroom with bunk beds and open plan living area with kitchenette, dining table and sofa. There is also a mezzanine with sofa and chair for those who want to hide away with a good book. The balcony overlooks the pistes of the Manigod-La Clusaz resort, which are very family friendly with plenty of choice of runs and floodlit night skiing at weekends.

Our apartment is cosy and well-equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Also a lockable ski locker on ground floor.

L’appartement est bien situé et la vue y est magnifique. Il est très bien equipé et les propriétaires sont charmants, disponibles et souples pour l’horaire d’arrivée. Le seul regret est l’absence de commerces accessibles à pied en dehors de la location de matériel de ski et de deux restaurants.

Bel appartement, bien agencé, propre, très bien situé au pied des pistes. Nous étions 4 (2 adultes et 2 enfants en bas âges) cela convenait parfaitement. Le petit coin mezzanine est aussi très appréciable pour passer un moment de détente avec un bon livre.

Why they chose this property

We adore this apartment- relaxing with a glass of wine while listening to the snowploughs constructing the pistes for the next day is one of our favourite things to do.

Although we only bought the apartment in 2018, we have had our eye on it for years as regular visitors to les Maisons des Bois and the previous owners finally agreed to sell it to us! We've left a lot of the embroidery and paintings in place as they add to the Alpine charm of the apartment.
