Cortijo El Olivar is a beautiful modern villa. Situated at the foot of the peaceful rural village of Pinos Del Valle it sits amongst its 3 acres of olive, fig and citrus fruit trees. While away the sunny days on the outside terrace overlooking the spectator vista of the Beznar lake and Lecrin ‘happiness’ Valley. Come and visit us, .Relax, Swim, Eat, Drink, Repeat..............
The private terraces and beautifully furnished outdoor areas, all with wonderful panoramic views, combined with the large private heated swimming pool, compliment the stunning interior of El Olivar. We have considered your comfort with the heated pool, modern appliances and air conditioned bedrooms whilst trying to balance the impact on the environment from the property by having its own solar energy.
There are two double bedrooms with king size beds one is en suite, the third bedroom can sleep three people it has a double bed and also a single day bed. All bedrooms have air conditioning for your sleeping comfort. The property has two bathrooms a family bathroom with walk in shower and the en suite with a walk in shower and large freestanding bath. Both are modern with rainfall showers and have underfloor heating for the cooler months. The kitchen and dining area is open plan for large family gatherings with a large central marble island with breakfast bar and a separate dining table for six. There is also a comfy sofa making this a relaxing sociable space. This can convert to a double sofa bed. Maximum occupancy is six adults and one child. There is a further separate lounge area, great for chilling out on the comfy sofas in front of the wood burner fireplace. A 40’ TV , with English, French, Irish and German channels, means catching up on the news from home or entertaining the children is easy. There is a selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games available for you to enjoy.
The house is fully centrally heated with a pellet stove making this house beautifully warm for the cooler spring or autumn evenings. Come and enjoy an early spring getaway, swim in the pool overlooking the snow capped mountains.
Just a short drive:
25minutes from Granada and the beautiful Alhambra Palace, 30 minutes from the beaches of the Costa Tropical and 60 minutes from the peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Un séjour idéal

Superbe villa avec beaucoup de charme, équipements parfaits, belle piscine, de nombreux endroits pour s’installer confortablement, la propriété est idéalement située entre Grenade et la mer, de nombreuses choses à faire, des restaurants délicieux dans les environs. Il faut noter pour finir la gentillesse et la réactivité de Jacqueline, la propriétaire, l’excellent accueil de Ruth et de Ian qui s’occupent de la propriété en l’absence des propriétaires. Nous avons hâte de retourner à El Olivar, cette fois plus d’une semaine.

Wunderschöner Aufenthalt in Andalusien

Es war wirklich alles großartig. Das Haus liegt am Rande des Dorfes, absolut ruhig, man ist vollkommen ungestört. Riesiger Garten, toller Pool, wundervolle Terrassen. Elegante Wohnzimmer, cooler sehr großer Marmortisch in der offenen Küche. Drei Schlafräume, eines davon mit eigenem Bad, ein zweites Bad teilen sich die zwei anderen Zimmer. Zu Fuß erreicht man eine sehr schöne Bar, eine Bäckerei und einen Supermarkt mit überdurchschnittlich guter Metzgerei. In wenigen Minuten ist man mit dem Auto - das braucht man - auf der vierspurigen Straße von Motril nach Granada. In 30 Minuten ist man also in dem sensationell schönen Granada, in dreißig Minuten ist man aber auch am Strand. Sowohl die Markthalle in Motril wie auch die in Granada bieten eine unglaubliche Qualität an Viktualien, vor allem Fisch und köstlichstes Meeresgetier. Etwa 1/4 Std entfernt gibt es in Dúrcal einen größeren Supermarkt, falls man vor Ort das ein oder andere doch nicht bekommt. Mit Ruth und Ian sind zwei herzensgute Ansprechpartner vor Ort, die einem, falls nötig, augenblicklich zur Hilfe eilen. Aus bestimmten Gründen mußten wir unser Gepäck schon vor dem eigentlichen Einchecken ausladen … Dank Ruth überhaupt kein Problem. Zusammenfassend läßt sich also sagen: Das ganze Anwesen sieht auf den Bildern nicht nur toll aus, es ist auch so; nichts unerwartetes, daß einen auf irgend eine Weise belästigen würde. Na gut, daß das nicht zu überschwänglich klingt: Die Töpfe und vor allem die Pfannen ….

Fabulous Villa in a beautiful setting

El Olivar exceeds expectations, the villa is as beautiful as it is comfortable, the pool and out door games kept our teenage kids entertained and were a lot of fun. The setting is breath taking, overlooking the lake across from the mountains. All in all we can not recommend El Olivar enough!

Fantastic holidays

We had a fantastic time, really enjoyed the villa with incredible outdoor areas and stunning views. The location of the villa is perfect, with quick access to Granada, Sierra Nevada and the coast, which enabled us to do a number of cool activities with our 3 teens (hikes, water parks, beach trips, Alhambra, cave...). Ruth is super responsive and really helpful. One of our best family holidays!

Alistair and I are excited to share with you our Spanish dream home. Since purchasing El Olivar we have fully renovated the interior to ensure modern comforts are available while maintaining the Spanish charm. We have improved El Olivar each year and are excited to have added a solar system to improve the properties environmental impact. We have also replaced the access road making your journey to the property easier!

Why they chose this property

We completely fell in love with this stunning location when we visited for the first time, uninterrupted spectacular views of the valley and mountains. You really never tire of looking at it. We then found the house which takes full advantage of the magnificent vista. After the renovations we now feel El Olivar is as wonderful on the inside as it is on the outside, a real home from home, but better!

What makes this property unique

The rural location yet still attached to the village is special, you can walk to the bakery in the morning for fresh bread or the bar for a lunch time refreshment and then return to the wonderful outdoor terrace lounge to relax in the shade of the pergola and take in the private far stretching views.

The heated pool is large and faces the sun all day long, perfectly refreshing. The light, bright modern interior of El Olivar means no compromise on ease and quality of living, comfy and cosy.
