SPECIAL OFFER 25% OFF LATE AUGUST TO EARLY SEPTEMBER 2025. Spacious Moorish-style villa built around a large sun terrace - lots of character - totally private large walled garden with fabulous pool, olive, fig and orange trees and superb mountain views. Ideal for two families or group of friends.
Orgiva is 5 minutes drive / 20 minutes walk to the bars, restaurants, health food shops and supermarkets. Beach 30 minutes drive, Granada 45 minutes. Charming white mountain villages, 30 mins. Please note the house is not fitted with air conditioning, as it is mainly built in traditional local style with very thick walls to keep the bedrooms cool and fans in every room.
Bathrooms use a septic tank and please note barbecues are not allowed due to the risk of fire in the summer!

Fantastic property

The property is really spacious, beautiful and full of character. We were a three generation family group of 5 and it was perfect for us - a great base for exploring the Alpujarras and a really comfortable home for those who preferred a more leisurely holiday. The pool was especially appreciated.

Loved the house. The garden is magical and the pool stunning, lots of lovely places to sit and eat outside. I especially liked my room at the end with the onsuite bathroom, gorgeous decor and tiles. Only one issue which is the 2 central bedrooms were abit too hot at night, aircon in those would really help.. would book again. Maybe the dark blue doesn’t help?

Accurate description of the property

I cannot fault the accuracy of the description of the property. The garden and pool are lovely ace the villa is very spacious ace clean inside. The outside tables had take clothes on them which required a wash down, but the garden was a wonderful place to relax in. Orgiva is quite a good base to see other places, but there are windy roads before you get anywhere! Overall, a good place to go and chill.

Absolute gem

Better than the photos, a serene and beautifully decorated home which felt just like the holiday we wanted. Great communication with the owner on every occasion (inc her very kind help when our toddler fell poorly and we needed medicine). Really over and above in every aspect. Would return very happily. Thank you!

Standard far below what we expected.

After we paid for this stay we were advised all used toilet paper should be put in a bag and not flushed down toilet. If we had been told this before we booked we would not have stayed there. There were ants all over the kitchen worktops every day. The house was not clean at all, main shower especially. When we arrived there was no hot water to the main area. We were expected to pay for the gas cylinders if the gas ran out, but fortunately the pool man came and sorted this out. The furniture was very poor and scruffy. The only good thing about the house was the garden and pool. The road to the house was a one track road and a nightmare if a car was coming in opposite direction, be prepared for damages to the car. We would definitely not stay here again, it was pretty dire.

Our villa is described on the VRBO website as a “rural retreat”. All local properties have septic tanks consistent with local authority guidelines. We try to keep the gas bottles topped up and there is always a spare full bottle available to guests (details in the notes we send well before their stay). In this instance our pool guy went round within 10 minutes of the guest’s complaint and attended to the problem. In 22 years of letting the villa we have had 2 complaints about the cleaning, 2 about ants and none about the furniture. Again being a semi rural area the access to our property is a fairly narrow recently tarmaced lane. There are a number of passing spaces and very little traffic. No guest has ever complained about the lane or reported any problem. Almost all our guests love the peace and quiet of the villa and garden and the beauty of the natural environment and the mountain views.

Very lovely but perhaps not exactly what I was expecting, the house is very charismatic and specious and owners and staff on call to assist at a few moments notice, has many lovely features. I found ( in my personal opinion) that the garden wasn’t all that private and referring to some of the complaints I read in another review it is true that the Wi-Fi seems to struggle even though it was just me using it. The location of the house could hardly be described as the slums as someone else did , the house is well located for peace and quiet but it is true that the road is a bit tight at times and not well kept by the town’s council. There is plenty of cooking knives. The garden is beautiful but unfortunately not knowing exactly when the gardener is going to turn up doesn’t really let you relax , the gardener did turn up on the last day and left the garden the way I would have wanted to find it on arrival but still it is a pretty garden. Of all the properties I have rented in the past perhaps this one I wouldn’t choose again but you have to understand that this is due to very personal reasons and taste. A property I absolutely loved before had poor reviews by other previous users. Long story short, visit this property because I m sure a family with children might find it quite safe and disconnecting. A group of friends… don’t know. Orgiva surprisingly seems to have an issue with homeless and even drugs, I saw things I did not expect in Andalucía at all. Good, just not for me.

Ein Ort zum Entspannen

Wir als Familie haben den Aufenthalt in dem Haus sehr genossen. Es war groß genug für uns alle, jeder konnte sich zurück ziehen oder den großen Garten genießen. Es gab aber auch genügend Möglichkeiten, mit allen schön zusammen zu sitzen und die gemeinsame Zeit zu genießen. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. An der einen oder anderen Stelle kann man schon sehen, dass es etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Das hat uns aber gar nicht gestört. Der Pool im Garten ist ein Highlight und wurde von uns sehr genutzt. Etwas schade war jedoch, dass er bei unserer Ankunft grün war und es einige Tage gedauert hat, bis er in Ordnung war. Wir konnten ihn zwar durchgängig nutzen, dennoch hätten wir uns gewünscht, dass dies im Vorfeld schon in Ordnung gebracht worden wäre. Der Poolmanager war sehr freundlich und hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben und auch der Kontakt zu den Hausbesitzern war super. Alle waren immer sehr bemüht, schnelle und gute Lösungen zu finden. Wir können das Haus absolut weiterempfehlen und verbinden es mit einem tollen Familienurlaub, den wir dort genießen konnten.

Een oase van rust

Een ideale plek om tot rust te komen: veel ruimte, zowel binnen als buiten. Prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Mooie natuur en wandelroutes in de omgeving en ook toeristische trekpleisters als Granada zijn goed te berijden (met de auto). Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Esta reseña señala un descuido en la limpieza de una parte de la casa por lo que nos disculpamos profundamente, respondimos de inmediato para solucionar el problema y compensamos a los invitados con vino, chocolates y un reembolso de 195 euros. (Curiosamente no se menciona en la revisión)

Originele villa met prachtige tuin en zwembad

We hadden heerlijk verblijf in deze prachtige villa, die heel origineel is ingericht. Het is rustig gelegen en de tuin en terrassen zijn zalig! In de omgeving veel mooie en uitdagende wandelingen te doen. Orgiva is mooi, Lanjoron vonden wij nog mooier. Heerlijk genoten dus!

Besonderes Haus mit wunderschönem Garten

Das Haus und seine Einrichtung haben eine individuelle und charmante Athmosphäre, kein Ikea-Standard. Das hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Der Garten ist traumhaft schön und der Pool ist groß und sauber. Alles wird regelmäßig geplegt. Es gibt aureichend Sonnenliegen, viel Platz zum Chillen und natürliche Schattenplätze unter Bäumen und Palmen. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr ruhig am Ende einer Sackgasse, es gibt fast keinen Autoverkehr, man hört höchstens ein paar Hunde bellen. Da wir während einer extremen Hitzewelle von bis zu 40 Grad da waren, hätten wir uns über eine Klimaanlage gefreut. Es gibt zwar Ventilatoren in jedem Raum, aber bei diesen Temperaturen konnten sie nicht für ausreichend Abkühlung sorgen. Der Ort Orgiva ist okay, es gibt einige Supermärkte und Restaurants, aber in der näheren Umgebung kann man deutlich schönere Orte besuchen. Die Lage ist generell gut für Ausflüge. Mit dem Auto erreicht man viele interessante Ziele in 1 bis maximal 2 Stunden. Zum Wandern gibt es in den Bergen der Alpujarra sehr viele Möglichkeiten. Zum Baden findet man an der Küste eine große Auswahl an Stränden, meistens Kiesstrände, man muss aber gut 45 Minuten fahren. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern Sue & Martin war sehr angenehm und hat immer schnell und gut geklappt. Vielen Dank!

Grata Experiencia

Sue y Martin fueron muy amables. Respondieron rápidamente a todos nuestros mensajes y complacieron nuestras peticiones. La casa tiene un jardín enorme y muy bien cuidado. También tiene una piscina de buen tamaño que lamentablemente no pudimos usar por estar fuera de temporada, pues fuimos en diciembre. El area social sala.-comedor-cocina es muy amplia. Eramos 8 adultos y había espacio para todos. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y hay camas para acomodar perfectamente a 8 adultos y un niño. También cuenta con tres baños completos. La casa está a las afueras del pueblo de Órgiva, a unos 4 minutos en coche. Se le accede por una carretera estrecha. Hay puesto para aparcar al lado de la casa donde se pueden acomodar dos coches, y hasta tres si son pequeños, La ubicación de la casa está genial, pues está a poca distancia de muchos sitios de interés. Además de ser un buen punto de partida para visitar los pueblos de La Alpujarra, queda a menos de una hora de la ciudad de Granada y de pueblos en la costa, como Salobreña. En general, tuvimos una grata experiencia.

Magnífica casa y jardín

Una casa maravillosa, preciosa, en torno a un patio con entrada individual a las habitaciones. Con una magnífica y detallista decoración de objetos y muebles antiguos. El jardín es fascinante, bien cuidado, con una piscina estupenda, con tumbonas y hamacas para disfrutarlo. Tiene muchos rincones encantadores. Una acacia ornamental de flores amarillas y varios olivos centenarios, ofrecen sombra y dan mucho encanto al patio y jardín. La cocina y salon, estupendos. En general la casa está bien equipada. Solo una pega, no había ni un solo cuchillo para cocinar!! Espero que lo tengan en cuenta para recibir a los próximos inquilinos. La hora de salida a las 10 am es excesiva en España Por lo demás muy recomendable!!! Hemos disfrutado muchísimo de nuestra estancia
