A word of caution
I would recommend looking elsewhere for an accommodation.
We experienced *BED BUGS* at this rental. My entire family was affected, particularly one of my sons who has hundreds of bites all over his face, arms and legs. My wife could see the black flecks on the bed sheets daily which is a sign of bed bugs feces. I’ve notified the host but have not received a response.
The unit has 2 restrooms, both of which need major remodel. The main restroom has a very flimsy shower pan that was cracked and felt unstable whenever we used the shower.
The location is not ideal and it’s quite a long and treacherous walk into the main Praiano town for groceries and restaurants. It’s also a uphill 15-20 minute walk back to the flat, which is a struggle if you’re carrying groceries/supplies. You also need to walk up and down a long and steep set of stairs to access the unit since it is situated on the side of a bluff. This is especially difficult to maneuver with heavy luggage, so something to consider if you’re limited in any way physically.
Another thing to consider is having a car. Not ideal to rent a car due to the lack of parking and also the drive along the lone coastal road is quite dangerous. I asked the host to recommend a car service. He suggested his acquaintance Luigi Sabino who owns a car service. Round trip car service from Napoli main train terminal to Praiano and back cost 280 Euro. I used Luigi for local car service one day for Praiano to Amalfi, Amalfi to Ravello, and Ravello back to Praiano. Total cost for those 3 local trips was 240 Euro, which I though was ridiculous. I would definitely arrange car service and tours on your own ahead of time.
I think if we ever come back to the Amalfi Coast, we will stay in a nicer hotel in a more convenient location.
