This was a spacious cabin near Rochford and the Mickelson bike trail. We enjoyed lots of space for sleeping and dining. The decks wrapped around the entire house and the air was fresh and exhilarating. We enjoyed time with our entire family, grandparents, children, and grandchildren.
We took our family to Bob's cabin for a getaway in the Black Hills and this did not disappoint. Plenty of room, wonderful views and a great space for socializing or just chilling on the deck. Everybody loved their stay and the 8 inches of Snow on the final night made for a great finale.
We had a great stay here with family! There was Six families all together with a total of 20 and we had plenty of room! We did do some hiking around the area and did hike to Rochford and grab some coffee from the little coffee shop! The area is so peaceful and beautiful! We did see a couple mountain lions also!! Definitely would come back here!!
We had a delightful week at Everson's cabin, 5200 sqft of very livable home. Close enough for everything we wanted to experience: horseback riding, Alpine Inn, Cheyenne Crossing breakfasts... Near Rochford and the little-known "Small of America." (Not a typo, folks!) But away from the noise of life. Chipmunks on the woodpile. Hummingbirds at their feeder. Coffee in the morning! No internet, but we didn't miss it in the least. Heartily recommended!
Bike, walking path, and creek are at the bottom of the driveway. We enjoyed the bike trail for daily rides and early morning walks along the creek. The drive to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse wasn’t too bad at all. The cabin/house is isolated and access to the outside digital world is nonexistent. The driveway is steep and we were glad our vehicles had enough clearance for the drive up to the house. There are plenty of games for the family and toys for the little ones. It was an enjoyable place to stay with all three families.
This cabin is amazing .. so secluded and peaceful You will love sitting on the huge decks enjoying the sounds of the creek below , the birds, and the wind moving through the trees. There was plenty of room for all , the kitchen was well stocked , games for all to play, music and a huge selection of movies to watch. Definitely recommend this beautiful cabin. Getting away from your phone was a treat. No cell service makes you realize you don’t need to carry it around . Great base camp to visit all the surroundings towns within an hour drive . Deadwood /Hill City/ Custer / keystone. You will love the communication with Bob. He responded quickly to every question we had for him. Book this cabin and you will love it
The photos of this home do not do it justice. This is a lovely home, in a wonderful, secluded location. The setup is perfect for multiple families. Excellent central location for trail riding and tourist attractions. The balconies were delightful for morning coffee and wildlife watching, as well as gathering in the evenings to reflect on the day and plan the next. Would definitely stay here again.
Some things to consider: The driveway is VERY steep. Some ground clearance is a must, as is 4wd, if you have a trailer. It is also a tight turn into the driveway. No service was wonderful, allowing the self-employed party members to actully enjoy time off. The third full bath on the main floor is more of a second half bath, with the shower not being the most functional. Thse are by no means complaints. Mentioning so others can be sure this is the right fit for them.
We enjoyed the house and location. Disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. Floors needed washing. We felt maybe no one had been in it in quite some time.
We biked the Mickelson Trail and this cabin was perfect for the night. There are not a lot of choices in this remote area and we were grateful to have such a nice place to stay. It worked out really well for us, especially for a large group.
The house is bigger than we thought, and was almost exactly what we'd hoped for. It's an amazing property a few minutes south of Deadwood suitable for tripping out to everything local (like Rushmore/Badlands) or just a big family retreat. The decor is tasteful, eclectic & interesting. The bunkbed room is a little different in reality than shown in the photos, but it appears the property is a work in progress, so that will change. We had 13 people total, and the kids elected to spread out to the couches to sleep, and everyone was happy. It's a tricky drive up the driveway in any vehicle without much ground clearance, but that's not much of an issue in a van or SUV. We loved our Stay and would very much like to go back sometime. We only regret that we couldn't stay longer due to our own plans.
We had a great time staying at the cabin. The location is great and very secluded. Our group had plenty of room to relax and the kitchen was well equipped for us to make meals and enjoy each other’s company. We were close enough to enjoy all the great scenery of the area. The driveway is a bit steep for a motorcycle and difficult to get the large trailer up, but Bob was gracious enough to allow us to keep the trailer on the lower property. We would recommend this property and would stay there again if our travels took us back to the area.
This is a great property for a group! No cell service so lots of quality time!! Lots of space for gathering for game nights. Big kitchen for making group breakfasts.
We had a very good time at Bob's property.Very secluded'

Great location for 4 wheeling!
This cabin was great for our group of 10 that went 4 wheeling and spent some time in Deadwood & Hill City. Plenty of room for more if needed
