We had a fantastic time in your cottages, its so clean and new with fantastic furniture. The view is amazing and the kids enjoyed the animals and were completely blown away with the property. The sound of the river, the sheep, the surrounding hills, were a new experience and so.....beautiful. thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us. the accommodation was first class and we will definitely come back.

Amazing

We had an amazing weekend in the rivers edge cottage. Huge backyard for our dog to explore and fun places to take him for walks. Was so nice waking up to the sound of the river. Deb and David were very helpful and set up wood for us to make a bonfire (although we didn't get around to it this time). Couldn't believe how beautiful and green it was out there and is just a really nice place to get away, relax and escape it all. We will definitely be back.

Excellent

Perfect place to sit back relax and let all of the stresses of day to day life fade away. The cottage was clean and modern. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in their cottages. We were warmly welcomed. Thank you for sharing your property and making our stay wonderful. I would recommend Elm Cottage to anyone looking to escape. Great for families or a couples retreat. Can't wait to stay again.

Great holiday location

Great location on the river, quiet and peaceful. Cottage was very comfortable, clean and had a well equipped kitchen. Relaxing sitting on the veranda looking at the view.

Clean, comfortable, very friendly, beautiful prop

We had a great time, would have liked to stay for whole week. Did not want to leave. Best view from kitchen window I have ever seen. Would love to go back in summer and stay much longer.

Wonderful Cottage

We loved our stay at Elm Cottage, so very comfortable, a home away from home. Loved the deck with the flowing river at our door step. Lovely garden for our Standard Poodle to run in. Sadly for my husband too warm for trout but he did try.

Beautiful Property - Highly Recommend!

Elm Cottage is our new favourite getaway – simply bliss. The owners are hospitable and unobtrusive. Cottages are clean, comfortable and totally self-contained (incl. washer/dryer, salad bowls, glad wrap/foil, doggie dishes and a vege peeler!) It is very private – we rarely encountered others on our walks and did not see or hear other visitors in the nearby cottages. Our 2 x high-energy dogs had a blast – roaming through the paddocks and swimming in the river. Enclosed yard below the cottage meant we could head out for a few hours and leave them secure. Our 12-year old son enjoyed larking around in the river, ‘collecting’ sticks and meeting the friendly cows. In fact he spent more time outside (away from electronic devices) than on any other holiday(!) You can tell the property is a true labour-of-love for the owners who have put a lot of time and energy into creating a very special space. In summary: a crisp, wholesome, refreshing holiday – we will most definitely be returning.

Great place to stay

I stayed 3 nights with my dog and we had a great time. Went fishing, running, walked the dog and she had a wonderful time. She is fit and full on but she was worn out by night time each night. The cabin was warm and cosy and very well presented. Had everything in it including heating and cooling and well kept furniture and appliances. The views and surroundings were beautiful. It was just the break I needed.

Fantastic Warm Welcoming Stay - Highly Recommend!

A fantastic experience - we were so sad to leave! We (2 humans, 2 dogs) stayed 6 nights in this fantastic, cozy, clean cottage where you will want for nothing! Beautifully presented with lights on to welcome us after a long drive from Brisbane. Breathtaking views, clean country air- an immediately relaxing atmosphere. King-sized bed in Red Gum cottage topped it off! Queta (Boxer x) and Tikaani (Malamute) thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property - Queta especially loved swimming in the river uniquely surrounding the property and spent half of the day there on multiple occasions! Tikaani left a happy Malamute as she was able to run off the lead! Both dogs did a doggy day trip to the snow for their first time! They were also were perfectly safe in locked up outdoor area when we went out for lunch or dinner. Humans spent two days at Mount Selwyn and that drive is spectacular. Will absolutely recommend Elm Cottage to friends and will definitely look to stay again. Thankyou very much, a perfect relaxing stay for our Dog-oliday (holiday with dogs)! ps. Thanks for the 10th Birthday gift - I will use it at work!

Elm Cottage is an oasis hidden away surrounded by mountains, top class accommodation, words cannot say how we felt, from the time we arrived till the time we left, we were well looked after. I have stayed at many holiday houses before but nothing has come close to this, From the time we arrived, we were greeted at the entry of the property with a welcoming friendly hello, then we were shown to one of three beautiful houses that sat right on top of the hill, the house was amazing, beautify furnished and very clean, then with a slide of a glass door we entered into paradise, what a view, the rolling hill that rolled around the property and the river that flowed around them and joining together as it flowed by our balcony, it just takes your breath away.If you like, you could sit and watch the view all day from dawn till dusk, or you can place yourself in this incredible living painting and walk around and see things for yourself in close up. We all enjoyed what the property had to offer, if we were not fishing in the river, then we would be floating down the river, and if we were not sitting down relaxing, we were walking around the property, we had the time of our life.
