The Old Bus Shed, Currarong

A modern take on a classic Currarong beach house, the Old Bus Shed allows you to enjoy sweeping views of the coast whatever the weather. Now including an EV charger.

The property has plenty of space for a large family, with:
-3 large living spaces
-a large deck with dining table, BBQ and ocean views
-3 king-sized bedrooms
-a bunk room with 4 singles
-three bathrooms (one with a large bath)

In summer, enjoy the views from the deck in between dips in the sea. If you're feeling energetic, jump on one of our bikes to explore the town or take a kayak or wave ski out for a paddle.

In winter, look for dolphins or whales from the cosy comfort of the upper living area.

Step out the back door and cross the lawn to the original building that gives the property its name. These days it's a renovated living space with soaring ceilings, furnished with a 12-seater dining table and comfy day beds.

This building opens onto an enormous, grassy reserve that is the perfect place for kids to play when you've had enough of the beach.

Sheets and bath towels are included for all bookings.

Fabulous house, with everything you could need for a great stay, and then some! Easy access to a number of beaches, with a great view of one of them from the balcony. Super comfortable beds, multiple areas to lounge around, including the unique bus shed out back. Set up with guest needs and comfort top of mind.

Fantastic Stay in Currarong – Perfect for Families!

Our stay at the old bus shed in Currarong was absolutely perfect! The house was spacious, beautifully maintained, and had everything we could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. It comfortably fit two families, giving everyone plenty of space to unwind.One of the highlights was the amazing range of activities provided—kayaks, a paddleboard, and bikes, which made exploring the area so much fun! The kitchen and pantry were impressively stocked with utensils, essentials and other goodies, making meal prep a breeze. The coffee machine was a bonus The house had a large lounge area upstairs and another one downstairs which the kids could use. At the back was the old bus shed which has been renovated and our teens loved the freedom and having their own space.All these areas were a great place for everyone to gather and relax after a day of adventure.The location was fantastic, close to the beach, the rockpool, Abraham's Bosom and all the natural beauty that Currarong has to offer.Alan clearly put a lot of thought into making this a welcoming and well-equipped retreat. He was very helpful and was very quick to respond to our enquiries.We highly recommend this place and can’t wait to visit again!

Brilliant place and communication.

The house, bus shed and location were wonderful. I can’t credit Alan enough for his help in our initial communication as well as all the way through our time there. The most generously stocked pantry/accommodation I’ve stayed in anywhere in the world. Highly recommend.

Wonderful weekend at this well equipped house

I couldn’t recommend this house enough - the most convenient location close to the beach but tucked away on a quiet street, beautiful views of the ocean from the deck that gets lovely afternoon sun, and the best of all the huge lawn at the back of the house - perfect for games of cricket and lying under the shade of the blue gum. We really loved our time at The Old Bus Shed. Alan was also a great host, very responsive and helpful. The house is extremely well stocked with a full pantry and all the cooking utensils you could need. Highly recommend. Thank you Alan :) We will be back!

Very spacious, well equipped modern house with great views

Our second family stay here, we had a week here same time last year and my review is still available and has not changed. So likely it will be our go to place for a while! Such a lovely spacious, well looked after house, with modern amenities, great kitchen and the use of pantry staples and more. Photos do not do it justice. We learned our lesson this year and didn't bring the 'kitchen sink' as we've had to do in other house rentals. Makes such a difference to know that it's well equipped with kitchen gadgets and tools, everything works, and the beach 'toys' and bikes onsite makes it so easy to get out and do things, regardless of the weather. Easy walk down to the beach, and rock pool and access to the headland walks. Great big deck with views. The owners are very professional and responsive. Can't recommend highly enough. Orla

Quality house with great amenities

Spacious modern house, which is really well designed with plenty of room for everyone not to be on top of each other. Large kitchen well stocked with utensils and gadgets, a great big deck with water views and super comfy and spacious bedrooms. The old 'bus shed' out back was a bonus space to relax in, with the breeze coming through and a lovely outlook to the reserve. Everything you thought you might need was unexpectedly there! And the communication from the owner was always quick and friendly. We couldn't have chosen better for a family holiday and all looking forward to the next time we can spend time there.

Our second stay at this beautiful house and wont be our last. The owners go above and beyond to provide every creature comfort - incredibly generous pantry, supplies, board games, sports equipment, wi-fi and Foxtel. A stunning view in the most beautiful place. Cant fault the Old Bus Shed!

Gorgeous home with spectacular view and amazing kitchen.

Lovely huge home for weekends away with friends. Everything in this place is top shelf especially for gourmet cooks. It has great views and a wonderful outdoor area in the old bus shed.

Great Views and Well Appointed

We had the pleasure of staying at the Old Bus Shed with two other couples and it was excellent in every respect. The photos on the listing don't really show just how good this place is. The upstairs living area, with dining area and a good size deck has great sea views and is an ideal place for lunch or a BBQ. The bedrooms are all a good size and the beds were comfortable. We understand that the property has recently been updated and frankly it was faultless. We wouldn't look anywhere else if this property was available for our next stay.

The perfect holiday rental

We stayed here with 2 families for a week in January. The property is amazing, unlike any holiday rental I've stayed in before. Everything has been thought of, from insect repellent to a gourmet kitchen with a pantry stocked with 40 spices and spirits! Having a bbq on the deck looking over the waves was fantastic. The kids loved using the paddle board and kayaks. Could have easily fitted a 3rd family. Overall it was everything I could have asked for and more. We will be back!

Fantastic house

There is nothing not to like about the Old Bus Shed. We stayed here with another family and were very comfortable. The house has a lovely view, is very close to the beach & cafe, has an extremely well equipped kitchen with good quality utensils, making our holiday an even better experience. I would have been happy never to have left the house! We will definitely be back!

The house was absolute perfection: incredibly stylish, beautiful and stocked with everything you need and want for a weekend down near the beach. As a foodie, I especially enjoyed the kitchen, which had every appliance and was a joy to cook in. We also made good use of the paddle boards and kayaks and had so much fun. 10 out of 10, we will definitely be back!

We have just had a wonderful two weeks at the Old Bus Shed in Currarong. From the moment you walk in you can't help but relax. The views are stunning. The gourmet kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the bedrooms are gorgeous, you have a choice of entertainment areas to relax in and safe beaches are just a few steps away. Perfect.

Wonderful property!

We had an awesome stay at the Old Bus Shed, Currarong.  Everything we needed was there.  You can easily tell that the house is someones actual holiday house that they take pride and joy in, and not just a holiday investment property.  The whole house is furnished and well equipped with everything needed - even down to bikes and kayaks, and even a woodfired pizza oven!!!  The kitchen had everything including good pots and pans, a well equipped pantry, kitchen aid etc etc.  The furniture was clean and comfortable and we couldn't have asked for anything more.  Thanks to the owners who obviously take pride and joy in their holiday house and are kind enough to share it with others.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is a modern, fully equipped home with lots of extras. There are enough activities within and around the house to keep a family busy for at least a week.The creek which is within easy walking distance is fantastic for young kids. We made full use of the kayaks, the trampoline and the "Bus Shed".Unlike with many beach rentals, I didn't get the impression that the owners had hidden all of their possessions away in a large cupboard leaving only the basics - in the Old Bus Shed you have all the trappings of a home and the makings of a great holiday.

If you love a relaxing holiday with friends or family this is the place. We have just spent 3 weeks swimming, cooking, fishing, snorkelling, catching up on films, bike riding, reading and just watching the view.The house is the most thoughtful we have stayed in. It is clean and modern with a fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds and space for the kids and the grown ups. An extra bonus is the access to the shed which has bikes, fishing gear, a trampoline, kayaks and surfmats. In poor weather there is a cupboard filled with games, puzzles, a piano or cable tv.Highly recommended.
