KOOKABURRA at Currarong

Kookaburras and Kangaroos are just some of the locals that love to mingle with the guests in this holiday cottage situated in peaceful Currarong. A large covered deck is great for some relaxing after a day of swimming at the many local beaches. Sit back and enjoy the daily visits. For art lovers the Currarong Art Trail is on the first Saturday of every month. Just Google this as you can see a map and details.

Location

Only 500m to Bosom Beach and a short stroll or drive to the pristine beaches and many rockpools of Currarong and the Beecroft Peninsular where you can spot dolphins and sometimes whales.

Zaks Cafe has the best fish and chips, burgers for miles. They all so run a well stocked general store, where you can get those last minute items. The Currarong Bowling and Recreation Club runs a bistro and is a great place share a drink with the locals.

Kookaburra is high up in the village and backs onto the National Park, making for a private setting.

No linen or towels provided.

Currarong is about 2 ½ hours south of Sydney and from here you can enjoy day trips to many swimming places and bush walks.

Wonderful native plant garden complete with kangaroos. Perfect location for beach & nature walks. Some great fishing on ocean beach. Kitchen had all the things we wanted .

Everything about Kookaburra Cottage was perfect. The style, the layout of the rooms. Everything you need to cook delicious meals. Great heating for the colder months. The owners have put a lot of effort into creating a cosy lived in beach vibe. Thank you!

Family beach break

We love kookaburra cottage - in great quiet spot and is a small but perfectly equiped holiday bach ! Great to be able to walk our dog to beach and stunning sunsets! Low key and right up our alley.

Relaxing and comfortable stay

We enjoyed our 5 nights at Kookaburra, Currarong. The house is located on the bush, an easy stroll to the beaches and is well equipped with a modern kitchen for self catering. It has a nice beach shack vibe with enough room for our family of four to relax. The beaches offer safe swimming and great snorkelling in a beautiful part of NSW. Lovely stay, thanks to our hosts.

We had a great time

The house was great, kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and the aircon kept everyone nice and warm. Nice and quiet neighbourhood. Would love to go again in summer time when you can make use of the BBQ and large deck.

Another great holiday at Kookaburra

This was the second time for us staying at Kookaburra in Currarong, and it definitely won't be the last. A wonderful beach house in an ideal location with all the mod-cons and creature comforts for any kind of holiday in any kind of weather. Thanks again Mari and Peter.

Currarong by the bush

In the best part of Currarong backing on to lovely bush reserve. Kangaroos visit the property during morning coffee on the deck which was lovely. Great location 10 mins walk to beqch and bush walks.

This is our second visit to this cute cottage. Love it! Want to move in permanently! House is cosy, comfy and well equipped… so peaceful and beautiful bird life around too.

Property is in a good location, clean tidy. There was issue with showe where significant amount of water end up on the bathroom floor creating safer hazard. This item need to be rectified. In my opinion not suited for young childern due the drop of on the deck area.

We stayed this wonderful property (Kookaburra)4-5 times in 7-8years. We are elderly people whoare enjoying walking and fishing .The location is perfect for us in this respect.Moreover the host ( Mariand Peter) inform us immediately for our every necessity.We hope to stay again if available

Currarong beach house

Great location - quiet, private, adjoining bushland, short walk to a lovely beach and walking tracks to other beaches. We loved the private hot and cold outdoor shower, and extra toilet outdoors. Well equipped kitchen. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We look forward to another visit!
