Fox Lake Hut.
One of the original beach shacks in the area, full of character and surrounded by a lovely coastal garden. Across the road from Lake Fox with views of the vegetation (and a glimpse of water) surrounding the Lake.
Wander into town for breakfast along the coastal cliff walk or take a stroll along Long beach, this little house is a great romantic getaway, the perfect spot to chill out.

Our stay was very relaxing, we loved the location and never tired of the view of the garden and bush across the road on the lake side. We enjoyed walking on the coastal path and the beach was very close and accessible. Inside we were very comfortable and had all we needed.

A beautiful little house.

It is an amazing place in a great location, close to the beach, 20min walk to the restaurants, great neighborhood. The only minus is the internet that was a little slow but overall we loved it and we won't hesitate to book it again next time.

Perfect Location

Driftwood is a lovely cottage, which was perfect for our small family of three. We had all the comforts of home in this gorgeous seaside town. The highlight for us was the location. Despite being in a great location (a short stroll to the beach and a scenic walk to town) we felt completely secluded. We loved sitting out the front overlooking the wetlands. From the front porch and through the front windows all you can see is greenery. Driftwood and Robe tick all the boxes for a relaxing getaway.

A comfortable place to stay

Our stay was very pleasant and problem free. The house was comfortable and well fitted out. it was warm, the shower was excellent and the kitchen equipment was good. It was close to great walks in an interesting part of Robe. The only thing we were looking for that we couldn't find was a potato peeler and we understand that was rectified after we stayed there. The owners were very responsive and professional in their communications during the booking process. We would happily stay there again.

Why I won’t stay with Stayz again!

It may have been in the fine print but when there is a development site next door that deserves LARGER print I stayed the two nights and the weekend and then on Monday I was woken at 7.15 by a nail gun End of relaxing beach holiday I cancelled 5 nights!!!!

Hi Carol, It is such a shame that you didn’t read the property description in full when booking. Next door we have a local builder building the neighbours new house. After you left, I talked the builder and he said that he talked to you and explained he would be gone by lunch time and he was not coming back for a fortnight. It's a shame you still left. I tried to help you in every possible way I could. I hope one day you can come back and enjoy all Robe has to offer.

We absolutely loved this beautiful home. We based our trip around the availability of this house, and I’m so glad we did! Perfectly positioned in between the town and Long Beach, the home offers high quality linens, furnishings, and appliances. Large yard and beautiful surroundings. The lovely and responsive owner answered our questions quickly and provided very clear instructions and loads of information on the area. Nice touches included coffee, fruit, bread, and toiletries. Can’t wait to come back! Would highly recommend!

Such a cute and comfortable cottage, it had everything we needed. It's so close to the beach you could hear the waves at night. I live on a farm in a little community called Willalooka which is inland from Robe.
We love travelling, seeing new places and cultures, reading, painting and taking long walks along the beach.

Why they chose this property

Driftwood is a timber cottage overlooking Fox Lake with a gorgeous view of the vegetation surrounding the lake. The lake has plenty of bird like with a bird hide nearby. It is also a minutes walk to the beach. Lovely quiet area of Robe.
