Perfect holiday “shack” for our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens). Our stay in Bicheno could not have been better. Lovely hosts; cosy, comfortable, relaxing home with the best views; very friendly neighbour; gorgeous town; 13 min drive to Apsley waterhole … a must-visit. Hope to return and stay longer!

The host gave us all the instructions we needed to get in. The cottage was beautiful family accommodation for two couples or a couple with up to three children. Everything you could possibly need including board games, kitchen equipment, washer and dryer. BBQ, deck space and furniture. Lovely Bicheno location. We thoroughly enjoyed our days there.

Great views of the ocean

Had a wonderful stay. Wish we could stay longer. The views are amazing. Kids loved the deck area. Kitchen was well equipped. Laundry with washer and dryer. Beds were comfy and amazing view from main bedroom. Highly recommended.

Fabulous house in Bicheno

My mother was visiting from abroad and we used this house to explore the east coast. The views are gorgeous, the house was sparkling clean, and it had all the comforts of home. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable, few minutes to nature world and Douglas apslpey national park… watched whales from the deck… wallabies in the paddock out the front.. you could hear penguins from the deck outside…Drive is a little tight although did manage to get my boat in and under the carport.

Hi Patrick, I hear you about the tight access. For years we used to have a drive through (drive in one way and out the other) until our neighbour decided he needed a fence. So the drive through was blocked off. Glad to hear you managed ok.

Great View!

Great location, easy to find. The retreat is set out wonderfully for families. We had a great time walking to the beach (which involved passing some inquisitive sheep) every morning. Loved the closeness to Diamond Island, wade across in high tide or wait until low tide. Even saw some cute little penguins.

Dream Holiday destination

This is my second time staying here. Came with my cousins who came from Sydney the loves the place. Every thing about the place was Amazing. We visited penguin show and came here the access was very easy, the view from the bedroom was scintillating. Balcony was very spacious had a Morning coffee enjoying the scenic views. A highly recommended place if you are visiting Bicheno or Wine glass bay. Stay here and live the dream of your life.

Lovely, spotless cottage with beautiful views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was incredibly clean and very comfortable. The heated mattress covers were an unexpected treat and thoroughly appreciated. We had kangaroos in the field in the evenings and a beautiful view of a little island just off the coast. We went on a penguin tour which was excellent. The laundry facilities were very helpful. I would 100% recommend this accommodation.

A lovely place to stay

Our family – two adults & three kids ages 4 to 10 – enjoyed our time in the cottage that was comfy, warm, and well set up. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy. Only slight drawbacks were lack of direct access to the beach – possibly a temporary situation – and initial miscommunication on how to get the keys.

Only disappointment was no access to the beach - pity we could not cut thru paddock.

Very pleased with the accommodation - double bed was a little too soft for our liking but it was a very comfy spot. If we could have accessed the beach to diamond island it would be 5/5
