Conveniently located in the heart of historic Downtown Charles Town in an historic 2nd Empire Building listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places, above Abolitionist Ale Works, a 5 star brewery, pub and restaurant.

The space maintains much of the old original features including original heart pine floors, refinished claw foot tub and sink and original moldings and wood windows.

It has a large master bedroom, with 2 closets, queen size bed and all bedding, side tables and is cooled with a portable air conditioner and heated with a recessed electric wall heater

Bathroom includes an original claw foot tub with shower, victorian hex tile floor and a pedestal sink

living room includes a sectional couch, tables, closet space and a 47 inch flat screen TV with Roku TV and internet. the living room is cooled using a commercial grade evaporative cooler that is filled with water to blow colder air and heated with a recessed electric wall heater.

Kitchen includes concrete counter tops, modern cabinets, a range, microwave, coffeemaker with complimentary coffee, double bowl sink, table and chairs, washer and dryer.

This unit is on the 2nd floor of a historic building and is not handicapped accessible.

Please note that due to this unit being in the heart of a sometimes busy downtown, guests may be exposed to outside city and street noise.

Overnight visit

The property was great. Clean and great location. We had dinner (pizza and drinks) at the brewery downstairs and would highly recommend that for dinner. We were only in town for one night, having hiked around Harpers Ferry both days.

Cozy apartment in town

Quaint apartment right in the center of town. Everything you need they have in the apartment- even toilet paper (been to enough places that don't supply, so I always pack it). If you want modern, this may not be your place, but if you are looking for charm in town, you've found the spot!

This apartment was just right for us. It was like being at home. My only criticism would be the shower. I wished there would have been grab bars. It was great walking downstairs to get a beer!

Great character and location.

Being in the center of town, above an outstanding brew pub with outstanding live music in an historic apartment at s bargain price is perfect for me. If you want a luxury hotel on a golf course you may have some issues. But if you like good food, great music, yellow pine floors, original door hardware, washer dryer, claw foot tub, five minute drive to the track and being in an historic downtown this is the place!! Thanks we loved the stay.

Cute Condo w/ Convenient Parking

One of the things I love about staying in VRBO's is that I can see how people are updating and upgrading their kitchens, baths, flooring, etc. This condo was no exception. It's clear that Josh is still actively updating these units, but what he's done so far has been beautiful! The kitchen cabinets are amazing and I'm now considering gray in the color palette for my own home renovations. Condo had everything we needed, including a hair dryer, air mattress and laundry soap, washer/dryer. Plenty of space for our family of four in the one bedroom unit. Portable AC unit got COLD! Fan in living room kept us very comfortable. Would definitely stay again if I ever found myself in WV. Thanks for the comfortable stay!

conveniently located

Apartment was as pictured. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay and was easy to access. I appreciated the wifi and TV. The kitchen was fine for our needs. It was nice that there was a washer and dryer, even though we didn't need it. The owner was prompt and helped me with the initial booking. He also contacted me to be sure everything was as expected. Parking was easy and it was a short drive to Harper's Ferry where we were sightseeing.
