Dilligaf - Tranquility without Technology

A comfortable 3 bedroom colourbond house with large deck and excellent views of the Bay. It's very relaxing to just to sit on the large deck and watch the water or read a book. Located in a quiet street, enjoy the tranquility. Swim or kayak in the bay, or get in touch with nature walking on the rocks or gathering fresh oysters and mussels.

The property features a modern kitchen with open plan living area and a king size bed in the main bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and a gas hot water system. Other bedrooms are comfortable with a single bed in one room and a single/double bunk in the other, while all rooms feature built in wardrobes.

A mini deck in the front yard is perfect for relaxation or for children to play on. The property does not have TV or DVD, to enable you to truely escape, but there are books, music and board games to suit all ages.

GREAT LOCATION

Only 4 kms from the beach, boat ramp and local shop and 15 minutes from Port Arthur.

The Tasman Peninsula features some of the most amazing scenery in Australia. It is only a short drive to the famous Three Capes Track. There are amazing cliffs, beautiful safe beaches and breathtaking coastal formations that provide a diverse range of experiences for all ages and fitness levels.

Pirates Bay Beach is an excellent surf beaches only a short drive away, while the local cafe (40 min walk or 2 min drive) is also close by.

Other local attractions include the Port Arthur Historic Site, Saltwater River Coal mine ruins, Fortesque Bay, Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, Federation Chocolate Factory, Tessellated Pavement, the Blowhole, the Devil's Kitchen, Tasman's arch and Waterfall Bay.

Excellent fishing, awesome scuba diving and superb bush walking are also features of the area.

Supermarkets and Medical Centre are located in Nubeena, only 20 minutes away.

Wow.... Best Easter Ever!

We can't fault this place as it had every comfort we needed travelling with our 80 year old Grandfather and 6 month old baby. It was impeccably clean and the decor and furnishings were modern and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we could ask for and the view from the deck was breathtaking - a nice place to be. Thanks so much to the owners who were also very helpful. We hope to visit again when are next in Southern Tassie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dilligaf and found the property to be wonderfully peaceful, comfortable and a great place from which to explore the Tasman Peninsula. The furnishings were modern, the beds comfy and the kitchen very well equipped. The game and record selections were fun and kept us all entertained... The bathroom spacious and modern and the whole property very clean. Tanya communicated clearly and all was as is represented on the website. No hesitation in returning or recommending - as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids, this place was ideal and more than met our needs.

Relaxing time at EagleHawk Neck

We had an enjoyable long weekend on the peninsula. We appreciated the beautiful view from the deck and main living area of the house. It was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. It was also within easy driving distance to all the things we wanted to do - Tasman Feast (Nubeena), walks, local attractions, the Lavender Farm etc.

We stayed at Dilligaf as a surprise for my husband's 40th birthday with our 4 month old daughter. The house and amenities were simply perfect. Everything within the house worked just the way they needed to! The views from the lounge and from the master bedroom has us not wanting to go home! We would love to stay here again in the future! Modern but not clean and road noise

Bathroom was not cleaned, rubbish in kitchen bin, clothes from a previous guest had been left in the washing machine. No top sheets on bed. Quite noisy with road noise. Plenty of kitchen utensils and bbq was clean. Had to chase owners for details of collecting keys.

we had the privilege to stay 2 wonderful nights at Diligaf in november and had the most relaxing peaceful stay. we collected oysters in the inlet in front of the house, walked to the "dog line" and enjoyed fish & chips at the doolishus. the house was warm, comfortable & clean and it was great coming back after a long day of touring sitting on the deck watching the sun set.

Perfect!

Had a wonderful stay. The home is well furnished (new leather love seat and two chairs) and supplied. Beautiful deck and views. Especially loved watching the sunset from the love seat then the deep bathtub and candles after a day out. Peaceful and close to all the attractions and 50 minutes to Hobart airport. Communication and payment was easy and efficient. We (two adults) stayed three days and would have loved to stay longer. Besides the historic sites there are some very nice walking trails, Tasman Island Cruise, and Devils park. and more. We travel a lot and really found this home and this area of Tasmania extra special.

Lovely waterfront property

We really enjoyed our stay here, the best place we have stayed at so far. The property was well catered for, and kids had plenty to do in a safe environment. Spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the view. Would love to come back some day!
