About this property
Sea-Lit at Port Fairy
Magnificent views over the Southern Ocean which lies just metres away, Sea-Lit offers a high level of sophistication and comfort for up to 8 people. We invite guests to share our home away from home, decorated with beautiful Asian and Scandinavian themes.
The living area is filled with light and provides fabulous views from comfortable sofas of the ever-changing Southern Ocean. While you enjoy the waves, the kids or other members of your group can at the same time be using separate rooms for table tennis or watching a DVD.
Cook in Sea-Lit's fabulous, extremely well equipped gourmet kitchen with everything you need for the preparation either simple or lavish meals. Cook indoors or on the Weber Q bbq on a balcony just outside the kitchen. There's even a cabinet full of herbs and spices which would put many home pantries to shame.
And to keep in touch with the rest of the world or to catch up on a tv show or movie, Sea-Lit now has internet access for guests. While speeds cannot be guaranteed, they should in most cases be faster than mobile broadband.
Less than a minute's walk across the road to South Beach, explore the rock pools which provide endless fascination. Less than 5 minute's walk to the sandy, sheltered beautiful Pea Soup beach where you can enjoy safe swimming.
Architect designed and built in spotted gum with ceiling-high windows overlooking the ocean, Sea-Lit is available for overnight or weekly stays - an ideal romantic retreat or a get-away for one or two families or larger group of friends.

About the host
Hosted by David Mendelovits

After coming to Port Fairy for many years on family holidays, we bought a vacant block of facing the Southern Ocean in the early 1990's. 10 years later we built Sea-Lit which was designed by a prominent Melbourne architect, to be the holiday house of our dreams. We have used it as a family with now 3 adult children and partners many times over the years, and welcome guests to also have a wonderful and relaxing holiday.
