Glenbrook Cottage is just a few minutes walk from the heart of Warburton. It is close to shops, the river and the Warburton walking/bicycle track. The setting is delightful, surrounded by trees and with a mountain view. It offers charming, country style accommodation and is comfortably furnished, tastefully decorated and fully self-contained. Glenbrook Cottage combines comfort, beauty and convenience to make this a very attractive retreat for couples or families.

The cottage features a, spacious, well appointed kitchen with butler sink and lead-light windows. The lounge room provides comfortable sofas, TV and DVD player, a wood heater and split system heating and cooling. French doors open to a balcony that offers mountain views and the opportunity to feed colorful native birds. The bathroom includes a large, free-standing french tub. Two bedrooms cater for up to six guests with one queen room and a second room with two bunks. There is also a washing machine for guest use. A paved outdoor eating area and large, leafy garden offer a relaxing setting. Leaving the property, the attractions of the town's main street are a quick walk away while the Warburton Rail Trail is directly opposite.

Warburton is located 74 kilometres from Melbourne or just over an hour's drive. Attractions include beautiful mountain scenery, a scenic 18 hole golf course and numerous walks on gentle tracks along the Yarra River or beside the old aqueduct on the slopes of Mount Donna Buang. Warburton is close to the Yarra Valley wineries and has a great selection of restaurants and cafes. Glenbrook Cottage is located to take advantage of all the township has to offer or you may not want to leave this gorgeous, fully self-contained home set amidst mountain views, trees and bird-life.

Please note: there is not a barbecue for guest use, however there are public barbecue's along the Yarra River, which is perfect for dinner by the river.

Cute little cottage

This is such a cute little cottage but having said that, the rooms are such a good size. The location is close to town, so very convienient, however walking in and out, there is a climb back to the house. It is a little difficult when backing vehicle out of driveway, although the road is very quiet so no issues with others. The fire place was calling to be lit and it warmed the house nicely. Communication with booking was easy. There isnt a lot of food choices in town, so consider this when booking. The kitch is well equiped and cooking up a storm would be easy. I would definitely stay at this place again.

Cute property for comfortable stay

We had 2 nights in Warburton. The property is very cute and reasonably cosy. It was cold inside though. The only heating was a wood heater with firewood etc. nearby or a column heater on wheels. I was also pleased with an electric blanket. The thing that did surprise me was there was no wifi. It wasn't stated there was, but I'm glad we only had a short stay as a result.I really enjoyed the greenery around the cottage, the views of the hills and the bird feeder - the birds were a joy to watch.I was also very happy that I got a call about the food we'd forgotten in the fridge.

An easy, short walk into the main street or to the river, and at the same time lovely and peaceful. Very comfortable house and well equipped with everything you might need. The views are amazing, even washing the dishes allows a view of the mountains!

Beautiful property, very clean, close to everything. Walking distance to shops, cafes, trails. Quiet and peaceful. Loved waking up to the cockatoos. Only downside is the steep driveway and road works for most of our stay.

Peaceful and Picturesque

Clean comfortable and great size for the two of us. Drove into the driveway and didn’t need the car until we left. Comfortable bed and very quiet. Loved the cockatoos and rosellas. Walking distance to the main street, the walking trails and to Babajis restaurant and the Alpine Hotel. Look forward to returning soon.

Wonderful Warburton

We would recommend Glenbrook Cottage to anyone and everyone! Beautiful views of mountain and trees from lots of windows: the feeling that no-one else is within miles! Parrots come to feeding box just outside window. Delightful decor, in a cottage feel. Everything you could possibly want: comfortable beds, extra blankets, huge bath and every utensil in kitchen. Easy, though a bit steep, walk into town. The only issue was a rather dodgy keysafe: after much fiddling we finally opened and closed it, but thought we wouldn't be able to: Good to have Yarra Rentals phone number on hand just in case. Thanks so much to the owners! We would be back in a heartbeat. Jenny and Bev

Fantastic cottage for 2 adults 2 kids for 2 nights

We (2 adults 2kids- 8 &10) wanted a place to base ourselves from to go up to Mt Donna Buang for some snow play for a day. Glenbrook cottage was perfect for us. The kids loved the house and the bunk beds. The house warmed up quickly with the rcac and fireplace, and the oil heater to take the edge off the kids' bedroom. It was a bit of a process to stay on top of the fire but it did produce lovely heat and everything we needed to start and maintain the fire was provided! We ate out both nights and could walk to restaurants- a short walk from the cottage (the Alpine hotel 400m which was pretty average and 700m Babajis which was amazing) a bit on the road and some on the trail. We did use a torch. As others have said, the short distance up the road the house is on is very steep. We found it easier to reverse in to the driveway for an easier drive out. The house was quaint and cottagy- loved the comfort and decor. Had everything we needed. Bed was comfy and a range of pillows provided along with heaps of extra blankets. As it turned out there was heavy snow on Mt Donna Buang and they were only letting 4wd up- so we went to Lake Mountain instead. We walked the La La Falls track, saw the Redwood Forest and the reservoir. Only issue was the timber steps to the wood shed get very slippery when wet. Would recommend and would stay again- kids loved feeding the rosellas, king parrots and cockies on the balcony!

Delightful well positioned cottage. Well equipped for making home meals. Enjoyed the wood fire. Especially enjoyed the visits from local birds in the mornings. Would recommend this cottage to friends.

Lovely weekend stay for 2

I stayed here with my partner for a weekend getaway and loved how close we felt to nature. Beautiful birds visited the balcony throughout the day and there's a gorgeous view of the mountain from the loungeroom. Kitchen is well equipped, there's a split system heater or electric heater in each room, plus a fireplace in the lounge, so we were cosy even though it was so cold outside. Main street in town is only a 10-minute walk away. We were also lucky and got to experience the snow at nearby Mount Donna Buang (only 20-30 minutes drive from the house). Comfortable, great stay. Highly recommend!
