This is our 3rd visit back to Black Pine Cottage, as it is such a lovely place to stay. It is spacious for a family, cosy and warm, really well-equipped, and conveniently located for Katoomba and Blackheath (as long as you have a car).
We love it and will be back next year hopefully!
A small group of friends enjoyed the weekend, particularly visiting the Cultural centre in Springwood to see the performances of the Blue Mountains New Work productions.
We only stayed one night but Black Pine Cottage had everything the five of us needed. Clean and comfortable with a host who made sure we enjoyed out stay. Stefan overcame a problem of our making with generosity and professionalism. If we are visiting the Blue Mountains we'd be staying here again.
Black Pine cottage is great for a group of friends as it has plenty of capacity to sleep up to 6 people and has two bathrooms. Really comfortable beds with great doonas.
My friends and I had a lovely time and wish we'd stayed longer than a night. The cottage was beautifully renovated, extremely comfortable and very clean. The heating was so good we didn't even need to use the fire place. It was in the perfect location too. We'll definitely stay again!
My partner and I had a great overnight stay; and we could have more than happily spent much longer there.
The house is perfectly situated to explore all of the local tourist sites and all within walking distance; or jump on a bus which is just opposite the house.
I recommend Stefan's to anyone looking for a pad whilst staying in the mountains.
Spotless property. Dreadful distorted pictures on Stayz don't do it justice. Its a lovely place. Enormous backyard with swings from the huge old tree which my 11 & 9 year olds loved. Cosy place with central heating and a wood burning fireplace. Would stay again.
Property booked and paid for 2 months ago.
Drove 2 hours to get to property
Property cancelled by you 2 hours before we were meant to move in.
2 x 30 minute calls to you was a complete waste of time. You refused to help saying that you don’t care about 1 night bookings.
Booked 2 small/cold hotel rooms ourselves. Completely ruined our break. It is terrible that you can do this. Will be writing to office of Fair trading and will never use you again.
Dissapointed with our communication with the host.
The property was fine. It was confortable for the 2 of us. Host is in the process of upgrading a few things.I was very disappointed with my interaction with the host online. A few days after returning home I received a message from the host requesting more money as he felt that there were more than 2 of us staying there. The host mentioned that it was because the second bedroom was very messy (we had not even gone onto the second bedroom as there were only 2 of us and we didn't need to use it, which means that it was not cleaned properly from the last people staying there). The host then mentioned and I will quote the host's message -"Also cleaner said rubbish was very full for just two adults? I question if you just stayed with two adults? Disappointing that you don't pay the amount of guest at property, as your children were very young last year so surprised you would go away without your two young children for such a long time". I am not sure where he got that information but it was so wrong. We don't have young children at all !!! He was accusing us of something that we didn't do, and most of all he didn't know anything about us and he got the facts wrong about young children. It really spoilt the end to our holidays for us.
Immaculate place, tastefully renovated and maintained. Super clean. Warm, with really good linen and towels, well equipped with everything one may need: well supplied kitchen, washing machine, warm rails for towels, fire wood, etc. There is a wealth of games and toys - my boy forgot about all about having any screen time. It was perfect for what we needed and very peaceful. Walking distance from the three sisters as well as Scenic World. A 5 min drive to Katoomba main street. I needed to ask a couple of questions and Stephen replied immediately. I cannot recommend this place any better.
