This review does not include all of the fact. 1. The deadlock on the front door was not engaged when the guests (tradesmen) left the house. If it had been used to lock the door, the door could not have been opened by force. The door was not kicked in, as the guest claimed. The bottom lock was leveraged open with a screwdriver. See the second photo the guest posted. The screwdriver indentation can clearly been seen. The guest sent photographs of the damage that evening, which showed no damage to the deadlock or the striker assembly which secures the door. 2. Because the deadlock was not used, it was undamaged and therefore able to secure the front door after it had been forced open. The three tradesmen staying in the house had no need to feel "unsafe", as they coud have securely locked the property. 3. Stayz advised me that I was under no obligation to refund money, as the property could have been locked and secured by the guests. I stayed at the property that night and was able to easily lock the deadlock. 4. The police attended the house the following day and took photograghs of the damage (which was easily repaired). The locked box at the front door was damaged, but remained unopened, and has subsequently been replaced. One of the police officers said it was very stange that only the guests' items were stolen. The other office informed me that the guests were makiing an insurance claim of $12,000 for stolen items. These are the facts.
